About

My twin sister and I opened our shop inspired by a mutual love for vintage sewing patterns and vintage fashion.

Our story begins many years ago with fond recollections of sitting in our mom's sewing room on bright sunny days looking through her collection of fabrics and patterns. We eagerly anticipated the wonderful clothing she could seemingly magically create through the use of the flimsy tissue paper--the pattern pieces--and through maneuvering them and fabric through a sewing machine. At that time, we didn't know what it all entailed. It just seemed magical somehow. Years later, each of us with a machine of our own and plenty of patterns and fabric, we fully realize the wondrous capabilities of patterns, fabric, thread, and sewing machines. This shop honors that love of those early days and our current love for sewing as well.

The shop is a true reflection of what we love: history and a love of vintage items, sewing, patterns, design, and fabric. We want to share our interests with others as well.

Welcome to our Shop!

We purchased this collection from the home--a large Victorian home-- of a professional career seamstress within the community where she lived. It was obvious when reviewing these patterns for purchase that this woman was a dedicated and methodical sewer-someone who clearly had a passion and love for what she did.

We too share a kinship with this seamstress of a love of sewing as well as a keen interest in the history of garment design and fashion from decades and centuries past.

We hope you enjoy viewing our collection and find something that evokes in you the nostalgia and desire to recreate that special design as it has done for us.
