My primary product for sale is Yarn School Dropouts, a line of roving dyed exclusively with leftover student-mixed colors from the Yarn School workshop/retreat in Harveyville, KS. As a repeat Yarn School helper, I noticed there were always a lot of student-mixed colors left in the dye lab, and also that dyeing with those unknown colors often got me some great colorways. And so the Yarn School Dropouts were born. Dyeing with the leftover student-mixed dyes combines my passions for color, working with wool, and minimizing waste. All of the dyes are Jacquard/Procion acid dyes (set with food-grade citric acid or vinegar); they are both colorfast and lightfast, and when used well tend to exhaust completely, leaving only clear water to rinse from the wool. In addition to dyeing, I also really enjoy spinning. I often spin yarns with no project in mind. In the vein of reducing waste, you may see some of those yarns listed for sale here from time to time.
