I love what I do!

In 2006 I started doing craft shows and have learned to make many other items along the way. In 2007-2008 I opened a store that specialized in selling locally made items, as well as my jewelry. My jewelry has been so well received that I decided to start selling on Etsy to try and expand my market and see what happens! In May of 2014 my lease was up and I decided not to renew it. I was missing out on so much with my family and had no free time. I started focusing on my Etsy shop and developing a website. Now I have more time with my family and can experiment and create new things. Etsy is a great way to stay creative and sell my items to a large audience. I still participate in some craft shows and festivals which I love. But I actually have a personal life now as well!

Welcome to Serenity of the South! I have been in business since May 2005 - starting out with craft shows. In November 2008 I opened my own store and in July of 2010 moved to our new location. I am a wife of 24 years and mother to two grown boys. I have only discovered my creative side in these last years and am always looking to learn new things. In May of 2014 I decided to close my physical store to allow me more family time. This has not only allowed me more family time but has given me time to focus more on my Etsy store as well as create new items.

Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:
  • Custom or personalized orders
  • Perishable products (like food or flowers)
  • Digital downloads
  • Intimate items (for health/hygiene reasons)

Returns and exchange details
Request for returns need to made within 3 days of receipt of product. *Any personalized item is non-refundable and non-returnable unless it is defective in some manner.* In that instance you can opt for a replacement or a refund. Please make sure that the letters to be used are in the order you wish them to appear. Please note if the letters are sent to me in the wrong order I will not be responsible for replacing your item. Once the order is placed we cannot change the order or issue a refund.

Returns will only be accept for refund or exchange if item is in new condition and unused. Customer is responsible for postage of returned items unless product is damaged/defective in some manner. If item is defective customer can decide if they would like a replacement or refund.

If an Item is sent insured through the Post Office, they will be responsible for any loss of items or damages. I will issue your refund or replacement and file the claim for reimbursement from the post office. I will need pictures from you of the broken or damaged item in order to do this. Please note item being returned needs to be sent back within 7 days of delivery and in the original packaging. We do not accept used items for return. Once item is received and inspected to make sure it has not been used we will issue your refund or replacement.
Payment
We accept payment through Paypal and Etsy direct pay.
Shipping
We will ship your order as quickly as possible. Please look at the shipping time on the item you are ordering. We process orders in the order received - we do not move anyone's order ahead of already placed orders! All of the sterling silver initial jewelry takes 3-4 weeks as each is individually made.

Personalized glassware & bags take typically take a 3-5 days but can take a little longer during busy times like Christmas for delivery. If an item is out of stock I will advise you and see if you would like a refund or have us ship as soon as the item is in. We will ship by U.S. Postal service. All items are insured in case of loss or breakage. I will send you the tracking information the day I ship your item with the expected day of receipt. I find with international orders once we ship it takes 10-14 days for you to receive the item.
Additional policies and FAQs
If ordering a monogram item please make sure to provide your font choice and thread color. If this information is not provided at the time of ordering I will contact you through email and etsy convo. If after several attempts to contact you I have not had a reply I will proceed with the order using the font and thread color from the sample picture. I strive to provide excellent customer service and part of that is getting orders out in a timely manner so I cannot leave an order unfulfilled for an indefinite amount of time.
