Erin was extremely helpful throughout the purchase process, sending me product details and creating a custom order. Also, the veil ended up being the hit of my entire wedding outfit. Thanks, Erin!

I can't even put into words how beautiful this veil is. It is more than I could have ever hoped for.

Everyone complimented this very unique veil! It was just a lovely touch to my vintage feel wedding. The double layers were so unique.

The History of Serephine

Check our our new shop!

Serephine got its official start in June, 2010, after Erin Brooks' own wedding, for which she searched high and low for a headpiece that was elegant, yet simple, and that had a superior level of craftsmanship. What she couldn't find, she made!

After a few years of running, Serephine was invited to take part in the Etsy x Nordstrom partnership, and continues to be sold in Nordstrom today, with an exclusive line in their stores and available in their online wedding suite.

With each passing year, Serephine has gotten increasingly busy, and it was time to expand: enter Lisa TenEyck, who like Erin is an alumna of Scripps College, a fellow Seattleite, and a mom. She's also a studio artist and a medical doctor! Lisa has trained with and worked along side Erin, creating Serephine originals, and contributing fresh, new styles, and now continues the line while Erin takes a step back to focus on her growing family, yet remains a valuable part of the Serephine brand.

Serephine's items are well-known for their originality, quality, and the fact they are meticulously handcrafted, layer by layer, petal by petal, out of loose materials, in a free-form style, using only the best fabrics, notions, and feathers. The silks used to hand-make each and every flower are hand-dyed and hand-painted with original custom, hand-mixed Serephine dye blends. All flowers are hand-formed using both traditional millinery irons, and proprietary techniques. These very special and unique details are why each piece is truly couture and completely gorgeous, just like the brides who wear them. A lot of time and heart goes into each piece, and you simply won't find anything as thoughtfully handmade elsewhere.

To help save our trees, receipts are not included in the packaging. If you would like a receipt, please request one and it will be promptly emailed to you.

All items arrive elegantly gift-wrapped.

Refunds and Exchanges
Because our items are made-to-order, take a lot of time and materials to make, and are often customized to your perfect vision, we cannot accept returns. Please think carefully about your order before placing it, and contact us with any questions so we can help you select the perfect piece for your special day. For the same reasons above, we are unable to accept exchanges. If your item arrives damaged, please notify us immediately, and we will work with you to promptly replace it.
Additional policies and FAQs
Keep in mind it takes approximately 1-2 weeks to complete your piece before shipping it out. HOWEVER, Please refer to shop announcement because this lead time may vary.

Jewels used in each piece are often vintage and one of a kind. This means that you may receive a different jewel for your piece than shown in the photos. We only use claw-set, high quality and beautiful, sparkling jewelry in my pieces, so rest assured it will be gorgeous!

Each piece is handmade, so remember that they will vary slightly. Dye lots are small and hand-mixed, so color tones may vary ever so slightly.

Please care carefully for your item, keep it out of direct sunlight for storage, out of the rain, do not wash them as they are hand-sewn and my silk flowers are hand-pressed to make their shape. Keep them stored away from dust and any pets or small children who might view them as toys.

Due to high demand, We are only able to take on a few custom projects at a time. If you are interested in a custom piece, please contact us via the Etsy convo feature for further information. Keep in mind that conversations past about 2 exchanges discussing a custom item will be billed as part of the processing time for said custom item. Custom pieces start at $300.

*Sales tax added to purchases in Washington state.*
