About

About Serket Jewelry

Serket Jewelry is a home-based business that was launched in the Fall of 2009. The name “Serket” is an Egyptian name of the scorpion-goddess; protector and healer in Ancient Egyptian culture. Serket’s name means, “the one who causes the throat to breathe”. This name was chosen in respect to the definition and an infatuation for Egyptian art and culture. Since we specialize in handmade necklaces, it is ironic that our necklaces are so big and bulky layered with lots of artistic expression and yet your can breath with no problem. We also create high fashion jewelry pieces that include earrings, bracelets, head piece, headdresses, Bridal items and more!

Serket Jewelry believes that one of the best ways to communicate who we are is through what you are wearing. It is inevitable to wear clothing however; to wear jewelry comes from our comprehension and admiration for beauty and the necessity for personal expression to the world. Serket Jewelry considers the uniqueness of each customer. Therefore, we do not reproduce an exclusive piece. If someone proudly wears a piece we made and it makes them feel wonderful, then we want them to “own” the experience for themselves and not feel they have to share it.

I'm so happy that you found me and excited to share with you what I have to offer in my shop. A little about me, I am an artist and self-taught jewelry designer studying to excel every day. Some of my creations have been shown on international runways as well as in the US. I have had many jewelry pieces published in various magazines abroad, participated in high couture fashion shows, as well as received a local award, "Accessories of the Year!"

All of my products include:

All products are shipped 2-3 business days from order date. (Closed Holidays and weekends) Jewelry must be as it originally was sent to you in order to receive returns - meaning, undamaged.

Customer Service is a priority.

This is my full time job and I take customer service seriously. I want you to be my fashion model to the world wearing my jewelry proudly.

Returns and exchanges
It's pretty straight forward and simple. If you do not like the product, let me know and I will issue a refund (less shipping and fee charges)

Most important, please come to me first if there is a problem so that I can remedy the situation immediately. Customer satisfaction is very important to me.

It is my desire that you have a great experience with Serket Jewelry. All of my designs are created by hand and some contain vintage components/pieces which means worn and loved, so there may be some wear on some pieces.

If you must return your item, please contact me within 5 days of item's receipt, and the item needs to be returned within 7 days after we make contact, using the same packaging as sent to you. I do not accept returns on special orders which include custom orders or orders of large multiples for special occasions, bridesmaids, etc. This is due to the time involved in creating each piece by hand, so be sure to order carefully.

Please ask questions before you purchase. You must remember that many of the items i make are made with vintage or antique pieces so I cannot guarantee those pieces but will work out something. It is always best to contact me as soon as possible.
Items are NOT meant to be worn in water, no refunds or exchanges if damaged in this matter or something similar like oil, perfumes, makeup, etc..
Payment
I hope you enjoy the ease of my payment policy as much as I do:
I accept all payments via PayPal please.
Simply put - I want to deliver your product but will be unable to until payment is processed.

Here's how it works:
1. Add my product to your cart
2. Click to checkout and pay via PayPal (don't worry, you don't have to have an account) OR Use Etsy Direct Checkout. Both accept all major credit cards and easy to use.
3. Once payment is processed, I will ship your one of a kind, handmade item within 2-3 business days
4. Customers living within Ohio will have Ohio sales tax added 6.5% to your purchase.

NOTE: All payments must be received at the time of purchase; otherwise the item will be re-listed. Sorry I cannot hold these items.
Shipping
I often use recycled boxes and packaging materials. Let me know if that is a problem. Currently, I am working on package presentation pieces and will update when completed.

I will combine shipping prices for purchases on multiple items. If the price for combining isn't already specified, please contact me for an estimate. If you would like expedited shipping, insurance, or signature confirmation, please contact me with your request PRIOR to making a payment. Your purchase will be carefully wrapped in bubble wrap and packed tight, but I am not responsible for the postal services or other carrier's treatment in route or delivery. Insurance is highly recommended (but not included unless otherwise noted). NO refunds will be given for lost, theft, or damaged merchandise. Please note that I have never had a problem with any shipping in 4 years of sending merchandise. But sometimes, things happen, so please, it is better to be safe than sorry in choosing your shipping methods.

NOTE: I do not make any money on shipping.
