I purchased this necklace as a Mother's Day present. My mom loved it (I loved it). Delivery was on time.

About

About SeventhChild

Joined as SeventhChild in November 2008. Opened shop in January, 2012.

My husband and I live, with eight cats - eight dogs - two goats and a varying number of chickens, on a farm in South Central Missouri. We can not turn stray animals away to fend for themselves, hence the large number of dogs and cats. All of them either showed up here or were found abandoned. They all had the same thing in common - they were either sick, scared, too young to survive on their own, or all of these and needed a home. So here we are. :-} Their care and comfort is, in no small part, the reason we have this and three other shops here on Etsy.

To say I love creating and problem solving isn't quite right. It's a trait I inherited like the ability to carry a tune or tolerate heights or easily learn a language. Just to be clear - I stress on a step stool and only just have a good grasp of English never mind any other language. :-}

Our soap is made from raw ingredients using the Cold or Hot process methods.
I sew the corn bags, Danny cleans the corn to make sure there is no unwanted chaff, and we fill them.
I hand make the jewelry and use jewelry making techniques to make the hanging votive lights out of vintage glass light globes and shades.
Danny makes the frames for the punched tin, which I punch by hand, out of recycled oak lumber.
I've been hand engraving glass since 1995 when my mom, bless her, gave me a glass etching kit. I etched a couple of pieces and sort of liked it. Then started wandering what engraving would be like. It took a while to do some research and find some rudimentary tools. There wasn't much information out there and the tools were mostly for other applications. My first motor was a Dremel and I finally found a few diamond burs. I engraved my first piece of glass and was completely hooked, preferring, by far, engraving over etching. Completely self taught I've graduated long since to a professional motor and burs. Just a note - I can, and frequently do, drill holes in all sorts of glass. But I don't put holes in the hanging light globes and votive candle holders. Most of these are used outside for evening party's and gatherings. The motion of the light swaying in even the lightest breeze will eventually chip or crack the glass if there is any kind of metal through it.

Our store has been opened since January 2012 and we've been members of Etsy since 2008.

Our other three stores on Etsy are -
7thStash.etsy.com
NakedBones.etsy.com
SundayzChild.etsy.com

Refund will be for full purchase price minus shipping. You must pay return shipping. Contact me within 4 days of delivery and let me know what the problem is then send the item back.

If an item is damaged or broken in shipment I will work with you to file a claim with the post office. This, from the Post Office website, is what you need to do to start a claim and insure success.

"If you received something damaged or items are missing from a package, please retain the contents you received and all the associated packing materials until your claim is settled. You may be asked to take them to your local Post Office™ for inspection later. Please do not reship the package."

As I said, if it becomes necessary to file a claim, I will do everything I can to assist you with it.
