Returns & exchanges
PayPal preferred. This is a great way to insure secure payments and super fast shipping.
I will also accept money orders and cash (NOT RECOMMENDED!). PayPal and cash orders will ship within 24 to 72 hours of payment received. Money order purchases will ship once the funds have cleared the bank, usually between 4 and 10 business days.
Buyer pays any and all shipping costs, import duties and fees should the item(s) be subject to such. Please know your country's policies regarding international commerce before purchasing.
Immediate payment for your purchase is expected. Items will be returned back to inventory if payment is not received within a reasonable amount of time, usually 3 business days for PayPal, 10 business days for money orders and cash. Please email me if you have a special circumstance. I am pretty flexible.
I ship USPS First Class or priority, using a variety of materials depending on the item. I re-use as often as possible, especially bubble wrap. :D
USPS offers all kinds of extras and I am happy to use any you wish: insurance, proof of mailing, delivery confirmation, customs declaration, etc. Buyer pays exact charges for any additional services.
I can ship Priority Mail or Express Mail (email for prices) if you prefer. Other shipping options are open for discussion (FedEx, UPS, etc).
Shipping prices are set by USPS and I do not add extra for shipping materials, my time or fuel, however I will ship the most economical way as possible and the post office does seem to be a little arbitrary on what they charge. The fees paid by the buyer will be as close as I can estimate. If for some reason I estimated really high, I will refund the difference. If it is just a few pennies, I probably won't.
Additional policies and FAQs
Most of the components I use to create my jewelry require very little care and your new piece will last you a long time with minimal effort on your part. Removing before bathing/swimming/sauna etc, cleaning every so often and storing securely will extend the life of your new jewelry.
Clean simply by making a baking soda & water paste and rubbing in the palm of your hand, rinse with clear water, then dry with a soft cloth. Keeping items made with dyed beads out of water for extended periods of time (showers, pools, etc) and out of direct sunlight will allow them to keep their color longer.
Years ago I had a customer return a bracelet that "just broke" when he was wearing it. I agreed to repair it for free, including replacement of the beads that were lost. Later I heard through the grapevine that this young man actually snagged the bracelet on a window frame when sneaking out of his house one night. I was happy to learn that the piece didn't "just break" and am comfortable knowing that Karma will have it's way.
My point: Should your piece break, I will be happy to fix it for you (we will have to discuss compensation, if any). If you lose an earring, let me know, I might be able to make you another one. If you feel it is time to have your piece restrung, you can send it back and I can restring for a previously agreed upon price. I want you to be happy and I want you to be proud of owning a Coolwater original!
