5 out of 5 starsGot these for my 16-year-old chihuahua who gets confused about where to pee sometimes. He has an arched back, so it’s hard to keep diapers on him. So far this one stays on ok. It is well-made and shipping was very fast. My dog tends to be between typical diaper sizes with a 12” waist, so I was glad to find the 9-15” option. I got the contoured with and without elastic. Both fit well. Pleased with my order and will likely be getting more. Thank you :)

Hard at work
How can I help?
I am a former paralegal who switched gears to become a small business owner. When I saw the price of plain mass produced belly bands for my foster dogs, I knew I could make them cuter and better. 7 years later, I am thrilled to know I have helped pups and their families all over the world. I have shipped to 14 countries and every US state!
Because of this Etsy shop and your kind support, I have been able to donate $4,242 in products and cash to Recycled Pomeranians Houston, Pom Squad Rescue, Wrapped in Love, and the Days for Girls organizations. I also donate belly bands and work fundraising events for the rescues near me. I can't thank you enough for your support! Your order makes a difference in the lives of many dogs and for my family.
Working from home means I have more time to foster dogs. My husband and I have fostered and re-homed 30 dogs with Recycled Pomeranians and Pom Squad Rescues: Walnut, Mozzie, Marty, Newton, Ricotta, HoHo, Diggle, Freedom, Tinsel, Pom Pom, Pilot, Patron, Sunshine, Huggs, Roux, Carston, Roby, Pumba, Sissy, Mesa, Finn, Twitch, Kylo, Luther, Shalea, Pippa, Wanda, Levi, Liam, and Caris. If you are interested in adopting a Pomeranian please look up "Recycled Pomeranians Houston" or "Pom Squad" on Facebook.
I also have a second Etsy shop for fabric by the yard: www.sewbaditsgoodfabric.etsy.com
Thank you for supporting my work! If I can help you with anything, please let me know.

Owner
We have 2 full time pomeranians and have fostered another 30 over the years. Working from home allows me to donate a lot of time and resources to charitable causes such as Days for Girls and several dog rescues. Thank you for supporting my work!

Max
Inspiration
Max is the dog that started it all. Cancer took him in October 2018 after 10 very full years on this earth. He was a dach/pom mix & got no better pleasure than keeping a lookout at the sewing room window. He left this world knowing he was a good boy.

Revy
Boss
Revy is my little sweetheart. She's the only girl of the bunch. She doesn't have a mean bone in her body but she does seem to run things around here. Revy is 8 years old.

Regis
The Entertainer
We lost Regis in 2022 to CHF. He kept us laughing. I was suppose to just foster him but fell in love and adopted him. He is the reason we needed belly bands and developed the product you see in the shop today. He lives on with every band I make.

Pilot
Customer Service
Pilot was a former foster dog of ours who was turned in to a shelter in Washington by his adopter then had to be flown back to us in Texas. He is now a senior at around 12 years old, so we adopted him. It was meant to be, he's been through enough.

Frequently asked questions
Can I return a belly band or diaper?
Because of the intimate nature (health/hygienic reasons), I can't accept returns on belly bands. If you have a problem, please let me know and we'll try to find a solution based on your unique needs. I can often make an extender piece, offer a coupon, or other accommodation. I am always available for troubleshooting after your purchase, but please contact me before you order so we can try to avoid any issues. It is essential that you measure your dog and discuss sizing before ordering. Refunds and exchanges are not available for sizing issues.
Are the belly bands absorbent? Do I need a liner?
My belly bands are minimally absorbent. They are meant to be used with a disposable panty liner or incontinence pad for anything over minor dribbles. With an appropriate pad size they can handle it all! You can cut the pads in half for an economical solution.
I like Prevail (from Amazon), Tena (HEB & Walmart), and Poise brand pads. Store brands work just as well as Poise brand, but you can buy small packs of Poise to start out. I suggest level 5 absorbancy as a good starting point for most dogs.
Maxi pads work for some dogs, but are not as good at wicking moisture quickly. If your dog dribbles and you change the pad fairly quickly, Maxi pads may work for you. If you have any issues with leaks, please try a pad meant for urine.
Care instructions
Belly Bands: Close the hook and loop tape before washing to avoid the hooks attaching to other items or collecting threads in them. Machine or hand wash in cool or warm water with regular detergent. Air dry for longest life. If you use the dryer, use the lowest setting possible. You can dry on high/medium, the bands just won't last quite as long. To remove urine odor, add regular vinegar or OdoBan to the rinse cycle. I add both of these to the "softener" section of my washing machine. Do not use fabric softener or dryer sheets, they interfere with the absorbency of the fibers over time. Bands too wrinkled? Machine dry for a few minutes then lay the band flat and smooth out the wrinkles with your hands. Finish by air drying.
Do I have to measure my dog?
Please measure your dog. I know, I hate to do it too. They wiggle!
My bands are uniquely sized. There are no standard sizes for dog clothing. Please know that measuring is the only way to be sure you will get a size that fits your dog. Some makers include more or less hook and loop tape which vastly changes sizing. Include your dog's girth measurement in your checkout notes; I will double check to make sure you have ordered the proper size.

Do you have or can you get a particular fabric?
Send me a convo. I will try my best to find what you are looking for. I have a ton of fabric that just hasn't made it into the shop yet.
Do you have a more eco friendly solution over disposable pads?
There are some options for this using one of my bands to hold a washable absorbent pad. Please contact me via convo for more information.
I do not offer a sewn in layer. It takes a long time to dry and reduces the life of the bands.
