SewMeHawaii's Shop Policies

Aloha...e komo mai...come on in for a visit. Everything in my shop is handmade in Makawao, Maui, Hawai'i. I use beautiful tropical Hawaiian print fabrics. My items transcend my love for the islands and my passion for hula. So, stop by, browse, or drop a line just to say aloha.

I accept Direct Deposit through Etsy with your credit card or through Pay Pal. Taxes are included. If you have a deadline to reach, please give me advanced notice as it takes time to get across our ocean.

I try and ship the day of the order. Or, the next day if I receive the order late as we are a few hours behind the Mainland. If you have a special request, please allow an extra day or two. For example, if you need ten hula skirts for your class, please give me at least a week to make them. I'm happy to fulfill requests for different sizes or colors and will convey my time requirements prior to the order. Just drop me a message and I will get back to you. I generally use first class for smaller items and priority flat rate envelopes or boxes for larger shipments in order to keep the rate as low as possible yet still fast.

Refunds and Exchanges

If an item is lost or damaged, I will refund your account through PayPal or your credit card. If a pa'u (hula skirt) is damaged, before refunding, I require the damaged skirt to be returned as I can recycle the four or five yards of fabric. I will refund the shipping costs to you.

Additional Policies and FAQs

At this time I do not ship internationally as the rates have become astronomical. However, as a special request, I can do this. All taxes (VAT, etc) and duties are the responsibility of the buyer.
