I began sewing over 30 years ago in middle school Home Ec class. I started sewing in earnest after I married. The first project I worked on was a simple curtain. I quickly moved on to sewing clothing. I enjoyed wearing great fitting clothes made in the color and fabric of my choice. Once our family expanded to include children, I realized that small projects which can be completed quickly fit my lifestyle better. I started sewing small purses and totes and found them to be really fun and satisfying.
Once I discovered batik fabrics, I fell in love. I love that the process of batiking is a centuries old tradition. I am amazed that the colors applied to the fabric change depending on what time of year that specific bolt of fabric was made ie summer vs winter. Even the projects made with batiks change. The same project design using the same batik fabric will look different on each item because of the color variations on the fabric. This constant change is what makes sewing with batiks so exciting and fun for me since I don't know what a project will truely look like until it is done.

Payment

The purchased item will ship after payment is received.

Non-Payment:

PayPal payments need to be received within 3 days of the order being placed. A money order needs to be received by me within 7 days of placing the order.

If payment is not received within the designated time frames, I will make contact through Etsy and/or via email. If I don't receive a response or payment within 3 days of attempting to make contact, the order will be cancelled.

Non-Payment Feedback:

If non-payment seems to be a trend based on the customer's feedback, I will also leave feedback alerting others of my experience. It's not something I will ever want to do though. I just want to be up front about this particular situation.

***If I receive contact and arrangements are made, I won't leave negative feedback. The transaction will occur as if nothing happened.

Cancelling a purchase:

If a purchase needs to be cancelled, please contact me through Etsy as soon as possible
Shipping
My goal is to ship pre-made items no later than the second business day after payment is received. If there is a delay, a message will be sent via Etsy informing the purchaser of the delay and of when the order is expected to ship.

Domestic Shipping:
1. First Class mail is the default shipping method.

International Shipping:
1. First Class International is the default shipping method.
2. Rates are listed on each item. If for some reason an international rate is not listed, please contact me for shipping information.
3. Gifts: Please indicate if your order is a gift so I can mark the Customs Form appropriately.


Domestic and International Shipping:

1. Quicker Shipping: Additional shipping charges will apply for quicker shipping ie Priority 2-3 day, Overnight etc. Please contact me before placing your order so the additional shipping can be included in your order total. If the order is placed before the additional shipping charges are added, an eBill will be sent via PayPal for the additional shipping cost + PayPal fee. The item will be shipped after the additional shipping charge has been payed.
2. Insurance: Insurance can be purchased for an additional fee. Please contact me before placing your order so the additional charge can be included in your order total. If the order is placed before the additional charges are added, an eBill will be sent via PayPal for the additional cost + PayPal fee. The item will be shipped after the additional shipping charge has been payed.
Refunds and Exchanges
Refunds and exchanges will be made for defective or damaged items. Please contact me via mobile (920) 257-7780, via email @ SewMyStyleLLC [!at] gmail.com, or through Etsy as soon as an issue is discovered. I want each buyer to be excited and satisfied with the purchase made. I will make every effort to respond to all customer service inquiries within 3 business days.
Additional policies and FAQs
Quantity Orders:

Quantity orders are always welcome. Please email me prior to the purchase for the coupon code to use at checkout. Discounts are as follows:
Less than 10 items of the same product - no discount
10-19 items of the same product - 10% off total purchase
20 items or more of the same product - 15% off total purchase


Custom Orders:

1. Custom Order Inquiries:
Custom order inquiries are welcome. If a project request is not a good fit for this shop, I will be up front in saying so. I feel having the right person for the job is essential for a fantastic finished product.
2. Respect:
I want to respect the talents and custom designs of other Artisans. I will use a pattern that is currently marketed by one of the major pattern sellers for a custom order. If a request is made to use a pattern from an independent pattern company or an Etsy Artisan, I will first contact that company/artisan to determine the policies on the use of their patterns. I will send a message to the customer via Etsy as soon as I have made a decision on whether I feel I can do a project or not.
3. Custom Fabrics
a. My current fabric selection is listed on Facebook.

b. I will gladly accept fabric supplied by the customer. No discount will be provided
if fabric is supplied since production is slowed by creating 1 item.
c. If I need to purchase fabric at retail price for a project, a $10.00 - $30.00 charge
will be added to the base price of the project to compensate for the higher cost
of the materials. I will provide an estimate so the customer can make a final
decision on whether to proceed or not.
4. Placing the Order:
a. Once it has been determined that the project requested is a good fit for this
shop, a listing will be posted under the "Custom Projects" tab in my shop.
b. After the listing is purchased and payment is received, I will begin working with
the customer on fabric selection and project details. Purchase is required
before fabric selection and project details will be worked on.
