About

Spreading a passion for fiber one stitch at a time

An idle visit to the craft store, a chance purchase of some cheap felt, and a passion for fiber arts began.
After my first few embroidered hair clips, I quickly discovered I would need to improve the quality of my materials if I ever hoped to produce the outcome I imagined. I found top-notch suppliers on Etsy, and my quest for unique and high-quality tools and supplies grew. After taking a class for wheel spinning, I learned to use a drop spindle and now indulge in using handspun thread whenever possible. I hope to add a line of my own handspun thread to the shop soon!

Hello, thanks for looking around my shop! I love the nostalgia of hand-embroidered trinkets that can be used every day. Even simple things like how you clip your hair or how you carry your phone should be special.

10% of each sale is donated the the AFSP, American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Learn more here: http://www.afsp.org/

I support the handmade community by buying new and vintage supplies from etsy whenever possible.

Additional policies and FAQs
Q: Do you accept custom orders?
If you need a special accessory or jewelry to match that new outfit just let me know, I'd love to create one just for you! I absolutely adore custom orders, they keep my creativity fueled!
You may visit my "sold" section to view custom items I've created for others: http://www.etsy.com/shop_sold.php?user_id=7502531

Q: How do you price your work?
I generally price all my work based on the amount of time I have invested in it, plus any extra cost of vintage or rare buttons. Custom orders will be priced the same, never any extra fees. Even if I have to scour every antique shop in the county for the perfect button, I won't let you down!

Q: What's the difference between wool felt and eco felt?
The wool felt that I use is 100% merino, the highest quality available. The wool is sheared from the sheep, then cleaned, dyed, carded, and pressed into felt through a steaming process. It is naturally insulating in hot or cold. It is color-fast and does not pill or fade, and is truly heirloom quality.

Eco felt, a less expensive alternative, is made from recycled plastic bottles. As an acrylic, it can be machine washed and dried. It can also be slightly stretched, making it a good choice for items like cup cozies. Unfortunately, acrylic felt is much less dense than the wool, and therefore will not hold nearly as many pretty stitches. It also won't hold up very long against wear and tear, looking pilled and fuzzy after a few uses. For these reasons, I choose to use the highest quality wool for all my pieces.

Q: Do you accept wholesale orders?
Due to the intricate stitched details and inclusion of vintage materials on many of my items, I'm usually unable to accommodate wholesale requests.
