It took me so long to review because this was a birthday present for my mom and she fell in love with it! Great alternative to a card, and shipping was so quick!

The wallet is beautifully and neatly crafted, doesn't disappoint even the slightest! Made and shipped quickly; excellent contact with the seller. I can't say a bad word at all! I gladly recommend this shop.

About

Life in technicolor.

I bought my first sewing machine in the fall of 2008. Soon I was sucked into the crafting world and ended up with more hobbies than I need: sewing, embroidery, knitting, and bookbinding. I opened Sew Technicolor two years later in order to pass along some of my creations to others. I finally realized that I couldn't keep every single thing I made!

I adore old movies, particularly Technicolor musicals {Singin' in the Rain is my favorite, if you'd like to know}. Musicals are unabashedly joyful and fun and creative, which is something I'd like to be. I also like that they can be a bit cheesy and awkward, which is something I already am.

My sewing workspace is a slightly cluttered corner of a room. When I'm there, you'll usually find me listening to classic movie soundtracks, swingy big band music, Frank Sinatra, or the Avett Brothers. My sewing companion is a strange black cat named Oliver.

I collect too much fabric, most of which finds its way into wallets for the shop. Each wallet takes a couple of hours to make, from cutting to completion. Twelve pieces of fabric go into making one wallet, not including interfacing or batting! The cozies are a little less time intensive and require less fabric.

Most of my embroidery pieces are completed while I watch a good BBC mini-series or a Frank Capra film for the hundredth time. I like to embroider my favorite things, which include iconic images and favorite film quotes {but not necessarily bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens}.

When I'm not creating for Sew Technicolor, I'm probably:
-Reading {Jane Austen and C.S. Lewis are the best}.
-Knitting and panicking because I don't understand what I did wrong.
-Collecting vinyl records.
-Filling my own walls with embroidered tributes to the Loch Ness Monster and The Princess Bride.
-Hoping that chocolate will one day be determined to be a health food {and eating it like it already has been}.

Hi, I'm Kristin. I am a bookworm, seamstress, crafter, and vintage girl at heart. I watch way too many musicals, swoon over Sinatra's voice, and like to embroider tributes to my quirky interests.

Welcome to Sew Technicolor! Here you'll find whimsical, sometimes vintage-inspired wallets, cozies, embroidered hoop art, and more. All items in my shop are handmade by me, Kristin, on my Brother sewing machine. Any embroidery that may appear on my items is done completely by hand. I hope you find something that you like!

Unless otherwise noted, the items in my shop are already made as shown. If you like what you see but would prefer a different fabric or have something specific in mind, just ask! I'm always willing to do custom orders if at all possible. To see more fabric options, go here: http://shop.hobbylobby.com/store/default.aspx?DepartmentId=7529 . I have access to nearly all of the fabric on the website, so just let me know! I can also order special fabrics online, though it may affect the price of the item. Note that customized orders will take more time to ship than ready-made items.

All items are made in a smoke-free home.

Payment
I accept all payments through PayPal. If you don't have an account, you can still purchase through PayPal by simply using your credit card. I appreciate payment immediately after your purchase. If there is a problem or a delay, please contact me.
Shipping
Shipping charges include actual postage fee and costs for packaging supplies.

{Wallets, cozies, and other small items are shipped in large padded envelopes. I try to send embroidered pieces in boxes whenever possible, especially larger pieces, and those boxes are often recycled. This is an attempt to not be wasteful, but if you have an issue with this, please contact me.}

I will ship all items within 1-4 days of receiving payment, although customized items will take several days more. All items are shipped through the USPS First Class with an estimated delivery time of 3-10 days. Shipping includes delivery confirmation, so I will send you the tracking number when I ship your order.

I gladly offer international shipping! Delivery time on international orders varies, depending on the country.

If you are ordering a gift and want it shipped directly to the recipient, please be sure to let me know and be sure that you give me their address instead of your own (otherwise, I go by the Paypal and Etsy addresses that are provided). I can also include a little note if you'd like!
Refunds and Exchanges
If your item somehow gets damaged during transit, please contact me with a photo of the damage and we will work out a refund or exchange. If you are otherwise unhappy with your purchase, please contact me.
