El primer vestido que hice fue en 1967. Un cambio floral sin mangas. Estaba tan emocionada de modelar mi nueva creación, solo para descubrir que había cosido las axilas cerradas. Mamá me presenta otra nueva herramienta, el destripador de costuras. ¡Ahí es donde todo esto comenzó!
Mejoré en la máquina, hice ropa para mí y amigos, disfraces para un teatro infantil y costurera para un parque temático de la década de 1880.
Ya no coso mucho, pero me encanta el hecho de que tanta gente lo haga y que pueda ofrecerles esta colección de patrones de costura cada vez mayores.

The first dress I made was in 1967. A floral sleeveless shift. I was so excited to model my new creation, only to find I had sewn the armholes shut. Mom introduces me to another new tool, the seam ripper. That's where this all started!
I got better on the machine, made clothes for myself and friends, costumes for a children's theater and seamstress for an 1880's theme park.
I don't sew much anymore but love the fact that so many people do and that I can offer them this collection of ever growing sewing patterns.
