About

Bath and Body Products made with Aloha

Jessica Taylor, mom of two and founder of Shaka Soap, immediately fell in love with the amazing culture and beautiful landscapes of Hawaii. The appreciation for the land and sea is time-honored by the Hawaiian people, and something Jessica desperately wanted to creatively emulate. Thus began Shaka Soap.

Jessica realized that many ingredients found in store bought soap were dangerous and potentially hazardous, and completely UNNECESSARY! After researching many of those ingredients, she decided to try her hand at making her own soap with only natural and beneficial ingredients. What began as a soap venture quickly became a passion. She went from cold process (lye) soaps, to glycerin soaps; then her curiosity piqued to lotions, lip balms, and scrubs.

Research and reading has been a constant partner in every aspect of her craft from initial ingredients to finished product. Jessica's creativity is constantly stimulated, keeping her eager and excited to create and experiment even more.

I started this company to help every person feel that natural, Hawaiian inspired bath and body products were attainable. I try to emulate the Hawaiian culture and beauty in every product I create. I hope to share the aloha spirit through Shaka Soap.

E Komo Mai to Shaka Soap. We make soap, salts, scrubs, lip butters, salves, and more! We chose the name 'shaka' because of what it represents in Hawaii. The shaka is a simple yet powerful way to remind locals and visitors of the way people look out for each other on the islands and strive to spread aloha day in and day out, in keeping with the Hawaiian principle of "malama i kekahi i kekahi," - take care of one, take care of all. That is our philosophy here at Shaka Soap. We create our products from the highest quality ingredients available, including our colorants and scents.
