Shamanistic Adornments From the Sky Earth & Sea: Intent behind the Creation

I started Shamanistic in March 2011 with an abstract idea that this project is going to be a constantly evolving design entity which combines the approach of radical art & design, as well as promoting environmental awareness & conservation. Shamanistic is a 1-woman show, I create, procure, package & ship out on my own.

I'm a third-culture kid, born in Indonesia, raised in the USA & Sydney, Australia where I finally escaped to Byron Bay for a period of 5 months where I soul-searched and were taught to connect to the intuitive. With my indonesian roots, the tribal handicraft blood runs pretty thick, so creation comes as a naturally-occuring process.

For more than 1 year now, Shamanistic somehow became Indonesia's first locally-made feather jewelry collection, with advancements towards using cruelty-free feathers. This purpose is to raise awareness that Shamanistic does fund and support conservation and cruelty-free movements. Shamanistic has been covered by the social & printed media since April 2011 to this day - highlighting the mission of conserving & healing.

Shamanistic only does pop-up markets in various places.

For any further info or if you just wanna chat & get to know me, email me at t.aurora [!at] or add my facebook & the Shamanistic page. Thank you!

Adornments from the Sky, Earth & Sea

Made and inspired from Mother Nature, Shamanistic is a collection of handmade pieces of wearable art, with feathers as the main focus of the jewellery.

Each pieces are created with tributes to the basic principle elements of the Earth, and is 100% handcrafted with love

No each pieces are alike. All pieces are 100% original and totally unique.

Currently I am based in Indonesia, the tropical archipelago of amazing ancient energy. Local conservation of tropical birds and rainforest will also play a key role in my mission with this project in the future.

There is an Indonesian term "Tanah Air" which literally means "The Waters of the Earth" and is a powerful saying to describe the primal and spiritual connection of the individual to their land.

I started Shamanistic with these basic ideas in my mind. To pay tribute to Mother Nature, and to spread positive and healing vibrations. Namaste.

Additional policies and FAQs
All items are made by hand, totally unique and one-of-a-kind.

I do receive custom orders. Please specify what you would like (earrings, necklace, hairpieces), your colour preferences and rough ideas on feathers (long, short, peacock, stripes (pheasant) or spots (guinea fowl)) . Would be great if you could send me a picture of you so i can visualize the design. Upon designing, I will send you photos of the process, so you could give some feedbacks/make changes.

I also receive special commissions based on pre-existing designs. Changes will be applied to ensure total originality though.

All pieces come in their own customized box, and will serve as protection for storage of the delicate feathers. Failure to store your feathers safely after each wear will result in damaged texture and spine. Damage in texture can usually be fixed by gently pressing the fibers flat next to each other with your thumb and forefinger, knitting them back together, and sealing frayed ends. Damage to the spine is non-repairable. I don't take responsibility for damaged feathers upon a few days after their arrival. If anything else occurred that i have missed here, please contact me and we will reconcile the issue with respect and mutual understanding.

Boxes are made of recycled cardboard, decorated with local indonesian fabrics, usually batik or cotton. All boxes are re-usable for personal use, as travel pouches for other jewelry for instance. Make sure your feathers are safely hung up when the box is used for something else.

I think that's all I can cover for now. Feel free to contact me if there are any other questions. Thank you.
