Welcome to my shop! I'm a goldsmith specializing in reproducing 18th & 19th Century Georgian and Victorian style paste jewelry. I love the concept that well made jewelry doesn’t always have to be constructed with precious materials to evoke joy, connection, and meaning to the wearer. The Georgians and Victorians were pioneers in this concept with paste - a leaded glass that was cut and mounted to imitate diamonds, sapphires, and other precious stones. Some of today’s most collectible jewelry from that time are made with imitation pastes. I’ve always been drawn to these gorgeously opulent pieces. My work pays homage to these jewels of the past. I have spent the better part of the last decade focusing almost exclusively on the cut down collet setting. By combining recycled metals, specialty antique cut stones, and traditional goldsmithing techniques, I hope to revive this art of a bygone era with newly made jewelry that is as timeless as the original.
Since opening my shop, my work has found its way into the private collections of jewelry executives from major auction houses, celebrities, as well as numerous jewelry industry insiders and professionals. I invite you to read reviews by past clients and take a peek at what I’m working on over on Instagram (@ShanAdamsJewelry). I hope we will work together soon!
All paste jewelry is made to order. Please keep in mind your order will take several weeks to create, please see the shipping section of individual items for lead time. Please read shop policies prior to purchase.
