While working at an arts and crafts store in 2005 I discovered a passion and talent for beading. I bought kits and magazines and taught myself the basics. I was drawn first to Swarovski Crystal but soon discovered all of the natural gemstone beads available and since I've been drawn to the healing powers of crystals for years, I started making healing jewelry that was functional as well as beautiful. I had so many customers of the store who complimented my jewelry and asked if I sold it that I decided to give it a try at a very small local craft market. It went well and I got so much help and suggestions from fellow vendors as well as customers on everything from displays to pricing. I soaked up everything I was told and soon began selling at bigger and bigger events and getting a ton of business as well as having a blast. I set up at Art & Wine Festivals, Music Events and local handmade markets. I also sell wholesale to some of my local shops; Eclectic By Nature and Grove Winery who then sell them in their stores.
In 2010 I was learning how to make my own incense. In addition to smelling great there are different herbs and oils that I believe to be healing, cleansing and/or used as an offering when praying and or performing a ritual of some type. I created different recipes for different purposes. I hand grind dried herbs and resins in small batches and add essential oils to make the most wonderful smelling incense ever! I use things like lavender, sage, Dragon's Blood and frankincense among many others. I mentioned it to the owner of Eclectic By Nature and she expressed an interest in possibly selling some of that in her store as well. She loved my incense and definitely wanted to buy it but had many suggestions on pricing and packaging. I followed her advice and the next time I came in I had a beautifully packaged product ready for sale. I am so grateful for all of the help and advice offered to me by others. Nothing brings me more joy than when someone falls in love with something I created!!!!
