Welcome to Shawnte Designs, and thank you for checking out our ever-important shop policies. Please take a moment to read them fully.

Being happy with your transaction and hand-made item is paramount, so never hesitate to contact us via Etsy conversation if you are unhappy, so that we can make things right. Please contact me if you are unhappy for any reason before leaving negative feedback. Many factors can be beyond our control, but easily remedied. You are very important to us!

Also, please convo us if you have any special requests, or questions about anything not covered in these sections. We will try our best to be accommodating!

Payment

All items are listed in USD.

Payment by PayPal (which includes credit cards) only. If you are not using a credit card, please note that you must have an active PayPal account before purchasing. If you need to use another form of payment, contact me and we can discuss possible alternatives and how it might affect other policies within the shop.

Payment is due directly after purchase. If payment has not been made within 48 hours of purchase, we reserve the right to cancel and re-list the item. Items will not be shipped until payment is received.

Shipping

All orders will be shipped within one business day of receipt of payment. Orders will be shipped using Canada Post (and thus USPS if destination is in the US) from Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

ADDRESS: Items will be shipped to your PayPal address. Please make sure that this matches your PayPal address. If you want the item to be shipped to another address altogether, convo us immediately and we will adjust accordingly. If you provide us with an address that is NOT verified by PayPal, we cannot be held responsible for any misdeliveries.

TIMELINES: Please note that the mailing delivery standard from Canada to the U.S. is 6-12 business days (not including the first day mailed) Hopefully your package arrives earlier but remember it has to travel though Canada Post, U.S. Customs and USPS before it arrives in your mailbox. Shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico will take longer. Within Canada, that standard is 5-10 business days. You can convo me to get a better idea, or check with this Canada Post website for holiday mailing timelines: http://www.canadapost.ca/cpo/mc/personal/holiday/default.jsf . International orders depend on the country the item is being sent to, you can contact me and I will find out the "delivery standards" for that specific destination.

COST: We try to make shipping costs as reasonable as possible. Shipping costs include postage, materials, and time. Secondary shipping is reduced, which means if you order two or more items, the shipping costs go down. For any order, the highest shipping amount of all the items becomes the primary shipping amount and is charged to you. After that, every item is charged the lower secondary shipping amount. To keep shipping prices at their lowest, all items are shipped without added insurance or tracking. Any custom or duty costs incurred will be the responsibility of the buyer. I will be filling out customs sheets truthfully, and NOT marking as a gift, in case that is a consideration for some. LOSS OR DAMAGES: The utmost care is taken in packing and sending your order. All items shipped are in perfect condition before packing, and so we cannot accept liability if your item is lost or damaged during the shipping process. Because of this, we suggest adding insurance to orders over $50. Regardless, convo us if any mishaps occur with shipping (before leaving feedback) so we can do our best to keep you happy and prevent it happening in the future.

PACKAGING: We will do our best to make sure you love opening up your special order from Shawnte Designs. If the item is a gift, convo us so that we can wrap it up in a lovely manner, with appropriate gift card and pack accordingly. Please be aware that some special packing requests may result in a higher shipping fee (such as gift boxes).

Refunds and Exchanges

We want you to be happy with your purchase from Shawnte Designs! Please contact us immediately if there are any problems with your item, before leaving feedback. Refunds and exchanges under reasonable circumstances will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis through conversation to make sure that everyone is happy with the outcome. Regardless, any return shipping costs will be the responsibility of the buyer.

Please contact us if you have any problems with your order before leaving feedback. If anything, we would love the chance to resolve any issue.

Once your feedback (positive/neutral/negative) is received, buyer feedback will be left for you.

Again, happiness is our #1 goal.

CUSTOM ORDERS: If you like what you see, but need a little tweak here or there, contact us and we will try our best to accommodate you, work with your needs, and create a special listing. Many things are one of a kind, but special requests of more than one of an item are welcome if it is possible to be made.
