Finally doing what I love!
I started making jewelry as a necessity in 2008 due to a lack of Christmas money. I had always been fascinated by all the beautiful beads & etc., but until then didn't have a clue as to how everything came together. From there I went on to discover a whole new world of jewelry making.
After defeating breast cancer in April of 2010, I decided to start my Etsy shop. I needed something to help me rise above my fears, to give me hope for the future. I decided to name my shop ShayBelle Designs after two dogs, Shay, my chihuahua, and Bluebelle, my daughter's blue heeler.
Since then, I have progressed to more wire work and less stringing, although I still like stringing beads. I really love wire working, it gives me more room for creativity.
I am still working on my shop, it needs some work, and more jewelry, and I plan to spend more time on it in the future.
My main concern is that the customer really enjoys and loves any jewelry that I make for them, for that makes it all worthwhile.

I am originally from NC, now a transplant to TN, which I love. I currently work as an accountant for a church, but my goal is to do jewelry designing and making as a full time job.
