I’ve been creating in one form or another for as long as I can remember. My mom taught me how to sew when I was seven years-old and it's been a constant in my life ever since.

My love of sewing inspired me to study fashion design in college and I received a BFA from Stephens College. After graduation I worked for a dress manufacturer.

In my late twenties I pursued another creative direction and studied graphic design. I worked at a small advertising agency before starting my own business.

I’ve been fortunate to pursue several different creative paths each presenting new opportunities. A constant in my journey has been my love of bright colors. I had the pleasure of growing up on Oahu, HI and the colors and beauty of the island has had a strong influence on my life and art.

Most recently I’ve combined my backgrounds in fashion design and graphic design with my love of sewing to focus on dimensional fabric art that is bright, cheerful and fun. I’ve participated in some 50 juried art festivals, exhibiting and selling my art. More recently, I’ve added speaking engagements, workshops, and pattern making to my professional mix.

The only thing more fun than making art is sharing it with others, and enabling others in their creativity. I hope my site provides you with new inspiration and a smile!
