I thought the leather would be a little thicker plus it is difficult to tighten one of the bracelets.

Just the perfect jewelry design for a "blue jean" type of gall!! Emily had the patience to help me understand how this necklace would adjust in size, even when I was having a "brain-dead" moment! ;) Very pleased with this artist and the necklace!! Would definitely recommend!!

About

Creating Stories. Raising Babies.

I grew up on a farm in the rolling fields of North Georgia. I played music and rode my horses where you can smell the grass in the summer, and I'm still convinced you can catch a touch of the sea in the spring. From the youngest age I was encouraged to create and discover.

When I was eight I started a pottery business to pay for my first horse. I made pots and clay necklaces and sold them to local gift shops. That was the first time I remember realizing that I could actually work my whole life doing something that I also truly loved.

When I was older I married my Knight in shining armor (literally. We met when he was a knight at the dinner show Medieval Times, and I came to watch), and had babies. I stayed home to raise our children, but I still believed that I could work as a creator as well as a mom. Because both are something I love deeply, and I don't think I have to choose.

I believe that every old thing deserves a second chance to give life and grace to something new, and that every person should own a little piece that someone else poured their love and care into. That is how my etsy was born.

My shop name is after my daughter. Her middle name is Shenandoah, which is a beautiful park and valley in Virginia. Some say that it means "valley of the stars." Either way, I think it's magical, and that it's exactly the thing I want everyone to feel who owns a piece I've made or found.

Now I raise our children, and we go on adventures to find old treasures. When the house is quiet and the baby is asleep I create. And it's a beautiful life.

Accepted payment methods

Payment
Payment is required before I will craft or ship an item.

I will also accept check or money order upon request, but please understand that for these payment methods I must wait until I receive the payment and it clears (in the case of checks) to ship your purchase. Though I would love you send it to you right away, I'm sure you understand the liability in doing this. So if you want your item quickly, paypal will be the best route!
Shipping
I ship most items within five business days. If you need something immediately please let me know, I will do the best I can to get it to you quickly, but please keep in mind that many items are hand made and are not always ready to ship. All items are shipped USPS priority mail, unless otherwise noted. Items may be shipped differently if requested, but additional shipping charges may apply.

I will ship to the address listed in etsy, so please let me know if you want your item shipped to a different address.
Refunds and Exchanges
I want to make sure that each and every customer is satisfied, within reason of my ability. In light of this, if at any time you feel you have received a defective product, please feel free to contact me, and I will do my best to resolve the issue. However, please keep in mind that many of my pieces are handmade, using a wide range of different materials. I use many antique and vintage materials, along with gemstones and raw leathers. The reality is that my items are unique because of the use of these materials, but they are also naturally very diverse and frankly some parts are very old. Please read the materials listed on each item description before purchasing.

I will either refund or replace any item damaged during shipping. All other refunds will be viewed on a case by case basis, but I will do my very best to make sure that you are happy!
Additional policies and FAQs
Please remember that many of my items are handmade, and take time to create. If you need something rushed please contact me!
