5 out of 5 starsI've admired Derek's work for a while and am thrilled to have added a first work by him to my collection. It won't be the last. Excellent communicator, a great guy and a highly professional Etsy merchant. Highly recommended.

Owner, Artist
I paint stuff, make things and work as a framer, professionally, so basically everything in my shop has been handled by me, personally, from start to finish... the exception being the giclee prints, which I have done locally.
Shop policies
Accepted payment methods
Returns and exchanges
As I do understand it's impossible to tell "exactly" what the work will look like in person, I will accept exchanges for work up to 2 weeks from shipping date (which should give you about a week). Buyer is responsible for return shipping.
Payment
-------------
I accept payment through Paypal and Google Checkout, as well as check and money order.
* If paying by check or money order, artwork will be shipped once payment is received.
Shipping
-------------
Most orders are shipped through USPS, however due to certain restrictions some larger and/or international orders may require shipment through FedEx (if this method is preferred, please contact me for an adjusted shipping quote). All artwork is shipped insured.
Generally orders ship within 24hrs, however some may require up to 72hrs to get everything together and packed properly.
* if purchasing internationally, please note that buyers are responsible for any duties and/or customs charges that may be incurred.
Packaging
---------------
All work on paper is shipped flat in archival art sleeves, well-supported, sandwiched between two pieces of foamcore. Framed art is boxed, padded and wrapped, with extra care taken to prevent glass breakage (may include foam 'peanuts' depending on frame depth). Boxes for the canvas work are generally cut to order so the packaging can vary a bit order to order. All orders are packed by me personally to ensure the work is properly protected.
Additional policies and FAQs
----------------------
Pricing for custom work is determined on an order-to-order basis. Materials, complexity, size, time, etc. all factor into the base price per square inch/ hour.
Framed Art Materials
---------------------------
All framed artwork is framed following current archival standards, unless otherwise noted. Matboards are either cotton rag or alpha-cellulose, both acid-free. All glass is conservation grade (UV protected) and/or anti-reflective. With the exception of hinges and floats, no adhesives touch the artwork in the mounting process.
Hinges are mounted with Hayaku paper, which uses an acid-free rice starch for adhesion.
Floats use an acid-free, double-sided tape along with a ph-neutral glue, generally mounted to acid-free foamcore or 8-ply cotton rag matboard, mounted to the matboard backer. This method is used only for canvas boards/panels, and the adhesives only directly touch the board on which the canvas is mounted.
All frames are papered-off, wired (or sawtoothed) and ready to hang.
