Announcement   One of a kind pieces and small collections cut and sewn in Oakland California. Organic, handwoven, traditional and vintage textiles.

Welcome!

Thank you for your interest in supporting small and conscious businesses!

I make everything in my home studio in Oakland California, using all natural fibers. Many of the fabrics I use I have collected during my travels. I value traditional cultures and arts and support them whenever I can. I focus on texture rich fabrics that have been handcrafted in traditional ways. They may be hand spun threads, handwoven and or hand dyed.

Textile arts are old and sacred. Many fabrics tell stories of the cultures they come from. My pieces celebrate the places they come from and I hope that in some way they help tell their story.

I design, pattern, cut and sew all of my pieces. It is a true labor of love.

Doesn't it feel great to wear clothing you feel good about through and through?

About

It chooses us

I recently learned I actually come from a long line of tailors and seamstresses. Which is funny because initially I was nervous to tell my family that I was going to pursue sewing. It makes sense though as I have always loved to sew.

I am most inspired by traditional textiles and silhouettes. I love the thought of incorporating the ancient into our everyday. I think that when we wear fabrics that have been traditionally crafted we honor the artistry, the artists and our ancestors.
