These signed prints are first hand carved onto linoleum or wood and then set on a vintage printing letterpress. For each print the block is inked up separately and when all the prints are pulled they dry for a week before they are cleaned and the best ones are picked for the edition that is signed and numbered. For each color a separate block has to be made and printed.
Prints are always shipped in clear envelopes with slips that explain a little bit about the artist and the print. They are sent in between layers of cardboard to protect them during shipment.

Nature to light up your life
Hi, I'm Mirka, printmaker, illustrator and picture book author, mommy and military spouse. We travel around the world and are currently stationed in Honolulu, Hawaii.
I am inspired by nature and animals. Our life can be so chaotic at times, we can lose our self image and the passions that once drove us. I find being surrounded by nature helps center me and reminds of the bigger things at work in this world. The things I create stem from that passion for nature and are designed to help light up your life, whether it be as a print on your wall, a beautifully designed notebook, or jewelry that you can take with you.
