Passionate Kids Graphic Designer
Hello and welcome to my story! My name is Mary and I've been designing children's wear for over 20 years, yikes! That's a loooooong time! I've designed for all the mass retailers such as Target, Walmart, Kohls, Belk and tons of little guys as well. I'm a graphic and allover print guru. In fact I became OBSESSED with allover prints as early as high school, crazy!
After leaving my last design position in NY, I found that although I love my career, the 1 1/2 hour commute into New York each way from NJ was taking too much time out of my life. That's a lot of wasted time that should be spent doing fun things, spending time with family, going to a museum, taking a walk with the dog, just enjoying life!
So I took a leap, and I started with a few kids party shirts. It was about a month later I got my first sale! Ha sounds easy right? Noooo way! It took a lot of research about heat transfers, heat pressing, tshirt brands, and then all that Etsy stuff, key words, ranking, photos, convo's, I didn't even know what a convo was!
Well it's been about 3 years now, and I've found a niche in baby bodysuits and personalized monograms. In fact I've just opened my 2nd Etsy shop just with digital svg cut files of all my monograms and artwork. That being said there is a lot to do so I have to get back to it.
