Lascia che ti racconti come ho avviato questa attività per caso. Nel 2022, stavo organizzando un baby shower per la mia migliore amica. Il tema era "Baby it's Cold Outside". Mentre navigavo su Pinterest, ho visto dei biscotti a forma di guanto e fiocco di neve carinissimi, perfetti per il tema, ma la lista degli invitati al baby shower era piuttosto lunga e non potevo permettermi di mettere a budget così tanti biscotti personalizzati quando dovevo ancora pianificare la location e altro cibo. Quindi, ho deciso di provare a farli da sola. Mi è sempre piaciuto cucinare. I biscotti non erano buoni come quelli originali che avevo visto su Pinterest, ma non erano poi così male! Ero piuttosto orgogliosa di me stessa. Una delle ragazze al baby shower ha adorato i biscotti e mi ha chiesto se potevo farne per un evento al suo lavoro. E da lì le cose hanno preso una piega a valanga! La voce si è sparsa e le richieste hanno continuato ad arrivare e prima che me ne rendessi conto avevo un'attività di biscotti di zucchero personalizzati. Ecco perché dico che ho iniziato per caso, perché quando ho preparato i biscotti per la festa della mia amica non avevo ALCUNA intenzione di trasformarli in un'attività. Mi ha semplicemente trovato!
Man mano che la mia attività cresceva, compravo TANTI stampini per biscotti. Mio marito ha una laurea in design e ha deciso di procurarsi una stampante 3D e iniziare a progettare i miei stampini per biscotti personalizzati. All'inizio, erano solo per me, ma quando abbiamo iniziato a creare sempre più forme e design unici, abbiamo deciso di aprire un negozio Etsy. Ed è qui che siamo oggi!
Spero di continuare a far crescere questo negozio e offrire più articoli come file STL, opzioni di tagliabiscotti personalizzati, stencil e molto altro ancora! Al momento abbiamo due bambini piccoli, quindi il tempo a disposizione per far crescere l'attività è limitato, ma continuiamo a lavorarci lentamente ma inesorabilmente. Apprezzo molto ognuno dei miei clienti. So che ci sono così tante persone là fuori che vendono tagliabiscotti e sono davvero onorata ogni volta che qualcuno mi sceglie.

Let me tell you about how I accidentally started this business. In 2022, I was hosting a baby shower for my best friend. The theme was "Baby it's Cold Outside". While Pinterest surfing, I saw the cutest little mitten and snowflake cookies that were perfect for the theme, but the guest list for the shower was quite long and I couldn't budget in that many custom cookies when I still had the venue and other food to plan for. So, I decided to try my hand at making them myself. I've always enjoyed baking. The cookies weren't as good as the original ones I saw on Pinterest, but they weren't too bad! I was pretty proud of myself. One of the girls at the shower loved the cookies and asked if I could make cookies for an event at her work. And things kind of snowballed from there! Word spread and inquiries kept coming and before I knew it I had a custom sugar cookie business. That's why I say I started in on accident, because when I made cookies for my friend's shower I had ZERO intention of turning that into a business. It just sort of found me!
As my business grew, I was buying LOTS of cookie cutters. My husband has a design degree and decided to get a 3D printer and start designing my own custom cookie cutters. At first, they were just for me, but as we started to create more and more shapes and unique designs, we made the decision to open up an Etsy shop. And that's where we are today!
I hope to continue to grow this shop and offer more items like STL files, custom cookie cutter options, stencils, and so much more! We currently have two small children so our time to grow the business is limited, but we continue to work away at it slowly but surely. I appreciate each and every one of my customers so much. I know there are so many people out there selling cookie cutters and I am truly honored each time somebody chooses me.
