About

Let Your Wardrobe Tell Your Story

I started my shop because I have this crazy love of all things vintage, especially the clothes! The textures, the patterns, the colors... I love it all.

I love the history that comes with each piece, whether it's the real history I can only guess at, or the imagined story I make up in my head of the person who wore a particular piece, how they felt when they were wearing it, and the memories that are forever tied to that dress (or coat or pair of shoes or...).

Each item I sell has a story, and though I may not know what that story is, I hope that you will create your own story and memories with the items you purchase here.

Thank you, and have a great and wonderful vintage-filled day!

Sincerely,

Alisa

Hi! My name is Alisa. I'm a writer, an actor and a lover of all things vintage. I was born and raised in the beautiful, mitten-shaped Michigan. When I'm not out finding vintage, I'm hanging at home with my two dogs & two cats (all rescue animals!).

I ship via USPS Priority Mail and First Class, so please make sure the address you have given me is an address the Post Office can deliver to.

I am happy to work with international customers! Please see individual items for international shipping rates.

I try to ship all orders within 48 business hours of receipt of payment. Once your order has shipped, you will receive an auto-email from Etsy with tracking information for your convenience.
Refunds and Exchanges
All sales are final. Please shop with care by viewing all photos, reading the entire description, and reviewing all measurements.

All items are carefully described and measured, and a detailed description of the item's condition regarding any defects or flaws is always included, so that you may feel comfortable with your purchase and have all the knowledge you need.

Because the items I sell are vintage, they are sold AS-IS. Exchanges are handled on a case-by-case basis. You must contact me within 48 hours of receiving your order if you have an issue, and if an exchange is approved, it must be sent within 48 hours after our communication.

No refunds are issued based on problems with the fit of a garment, so please measure carefully and feel free to make inquiries if you need help with sizing. Any item that is returned for exchange that has been damaged since purchase is NOT accepted. Damage includes stains, residue, cigarette smoke or other smells, or anything else that has effected the wearability or appearance of the garment.

Thank you for your understanding.
Additional policies and FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions:

Q. What types of items do you sell?

A. I sell vintage clothing and accessories, specifically dresses, suits, blouses, skirts, coats, hats, gloves and shoes. I love the bright, bold colors from the 60s and 70s, so you’ll see a lot of items from that period. I also sell vintage housewares, games and toys.

Q. How do you define vintage?

A. Etsy defines “vintage” as being at least 20 years old. So, all of the vintage items I carry are from the 1980s or earlier.

Q. How do I know what kind of condition each item is in?

A. I use a graduated system for determining a vintage item’s condition:

Mint Condition – This item is flawless and pristine and does not appear to have ever been worn. It may still have garment tags attached to it.

Excellent Condition – The only wear this garment has is the normal signs of wear that come from being worn previously. It has been well looked after, and is not missing any buttons, nor does it have any other defects that will prevent it from being worn. It may have minor discoloration or fading that is not noticeable when the item is being worn (such as on the inner lining or shell of the item).

Very Good Condition – There may be small stains, some discoloration, or other minor flaws such as small rips or tears. The flaws do not affect the wearability of the garment, just the appearance.

Good Condition – The item is wearable, but may require some minor mending, such as a button missing, or a seam coming undone.

In addition to defining each garment I sell by the above terms, I also very carefully detail any flaws or defects I have found, no matter how tiny it may seem. I want you, the prospective buyer, to have as much knowledge as possible about the item before you commit to buy, and be completely confident with your purchase.

All items have come from a smoke-free environment.

Q. How do I know if an item will fit me?

A. I always list the measurements for each item in the description. Please note – these are the garment’s measurements, not yours! The best way to determine if an item will fit you is to measure one of your own favorite similar pieces of clothing so you can compare its measurements to the garment I’m selling.

I measure items by laying them flat, face down and measuring the chest, waist and hips, then doubling those measurements. I also measure the length and/or inseam (if applicable).

An additional note on sizing of vintage items:

Many of the clothes I sell are bigger than the dress form (mannequin) that I use. To give an accurate representation, larger garments are pinned to show how the garment will look when being worn by a person of the correct size. I do not change the shape or cut of the garment.

Q. What are the care instructions for your vintage items?

A. Dry cleaning is recommended for vintage items. Garment care instruction labels were not introduced until the late 1970s, so most of the items I sell do not have these labels. Thus, it is recommended that you dry clean. Some of the items, especially those made out of polyester or cotton, will probably do just fine being machine washed, but I leave that up to your discretion.

Have a question that's not covered above? Please contact me. I'm always glad to answer any question you have. Thanks so much!
