Refunds and Exchanges
Vintage items have had a life of their own & may show some signs of wear. Any major flaws, like holes, stains, or missing buttons, will be disclosed in item description/photos. Sizing on vintage items varies, so please refer to the measurements in addition to the label info.
Colors may vary slightly on different screens.
Feel free to message me if you have any questions about an item!
Additional policies and FAQs
All measurements are taken flat & not doubled. It's best to compare to a similar garment you own. Many of the items I sell are meant to be loose, so full measurements don't really help to know how they'll fit in that case.
*Shoulder width* taken from seam to seam on garments with sleeves; tank styles may include a measurement between straps
*Chest* taken armpit to armpit
*Waist* is either a true waist measurement at narrowest part, or actual waistband, depending on style
*Hips* are generally an estimate based on location of the waist
*Hemline* on tops/dresses/skirts, full sweep flat and relaxed
*Thigh* on pants/shorts, measured just below crotch seam
*Inseam* on pants/shorts, length between crotch seam and leg opening
*Rise* on pants/shorts, length between crotch seam & waist
*Leg opening* on pants/shorts, width of bottom hem on legs
*Length* on tops/dresses, taken from highest point of shoulder or strap to hemline; on pants/skirts, taken from top of waist to leg opening
A B O U T V I N T A G E S I Z I N G:
All information from label is provided for reference, but if you are not familiar with vintage sizing, please don't go by the tag, it means nothing. I use a general modern sizing chart based on measurements to estimate the true size, but the measurements are really the most accurate way to know how something will fit you. It's best to compare measurements to a similar garment you own to gauge the fit.
A B O U T P H O T O S:
For almost all clothing listings, the pictures will be 2 full shots of front & back, and 2-3 close-ups to show pattern detail, label to prove vintage authenticity, or highlight special details, and, if needed, any flaws or damage. When I find it relevant, I will usually include a picture where the hemline is held up to demonstrate how the fabric hangs.
If you see something you like, and want to see more pictures, just shoot me a message. I'm more than happy to oblige.
Frequently asked questions
What size is it?
Unfortunately, there's no easy answer to that question. Vintage sizing varies drastically from decade to decade & even modern sizing differs between brands. It also depends on how you want the item to fit. I use a modern size chart to determine an approximate fit, but the measurements are the most accurate way to determine if the item will fit you.
I lay my garments flat & measure from seam to seam. The preferred method to gauge how this will fit you is to compare measurements to a similar item from your closet. You can also double the measurements & compare them to your own. Take into consideration whether the fabric has any stretch to it & if it should be a tight fit or loose.
If you need help, message me.
Is this true vintage?
Every item I sell is true vintage, based on the common standard of 20+ years old. I spend hours before listing items doing research on labels, fabrics, styles, etc. to ensure that I'm accurately dating each piece. If you are knowledgable on vintage clothing and you think I may have inaccurately dated one of my items, please (politely) let me know.
What if it doesn't fit?
I hate it when that happens, too. Unfortunately, I don't accept returns for items that don't fit. I meticulously measure each item to help you determine if the piece is right for you. If you have any questions about how the item fits*, please message me BEFORE purchasing and I'm more than happy to help you figure it out.
