Way back in 2012 my dad was involved in an accident which left him with some brain damage. As part of his recovery the consultants suggested that to improve his capabilities he engaged with craft work.
Over time his capabilities improved and so did the quality of the things he produced. To fund more tools and ambitious products, we started selling the items to friends and family. Soon it became apparent that this could be a way for him to regain independence and self esteem.
In 2019 we started a small business with the main focus on my dad producing the items and then selling them. Plans were made, products and tools lined up, Van purchased all was going well.
However, fate was not finished, one day he was driving his van with my mother in the passenger seat, when he was the innocent victim of a road rage incident. Because the other driver was having "a bad day" he thought it would be acceptable to ram his car into my folks van and high speed!
Both of my parents received many life changing injuries over most of the body with my mother losing part of her sight. So back around the rehab cycle again!
