Announcement   Summer is here! 'Tis the season for fun in the sun for sure but don't forget to bring your stress-releasing project of yarn and needles/hooks with you as you adventure your way through the next several months....and don't forget about all of the upcoming wool festivals across the country!

We here at Sierra Wools are into another wonderful year of Wool Shows and Markets; including our local Grass Valley Grower's Market at historic North Star House in the pines on Saturdays, April 14th-November 17th. We are also planning to be in the marketplace at the Black Sheep Gathering in Oregon in June, the California Wool and Fiber Festival in Booneville, California in September and Lambtown in Dixon, California in October.

And as always our inventory is just a click away right here in our ETSY store. Hope to see you at one or more of these upcoming events...be sure to come by and say hi... be sure to let me know you read this for a freebie!

Check out more of our new items for 2018:
1 - natural colored wool handspun yarns
2 - natural colored alpaca handspun and alpaca/wool blend handspun yarns
3 - humorous knitting signs... Made with re-purposed wine barrel staves, a very nice and hard French oak wood
4 - finished goods are always changing but continue to include:
- stuffed lamb and teddy bears... Made with re-purposed wool clothing, lovingly stuffed with soft and spongy polypay wool fleece
- handspun/hand-knit hats, scarves, shawls and fingerless mitts

Custom color orders are always welcome. Colorways are as unique as the person designing them, its almost limitless. If you have a color you want to match, I have allot of options using natural colored fibers and/or Gaywool dyes. Just send me a conversation preferably with a photo of your color you hope to match and I'll let you know if I can do it.

If you'd like your yarn purchase from us to be in a center-pull ball, please be sure to send us a note. We're happy to do this at no additional charge.

Even though there was a mix up on quality available ( only one available) it is stunning hand spun wool & I will use for a special project to showcase its full beauty!!! Thank you for clarifying situation and offer of 10% on my next purchase if I chose to ...

About

A Lifetime of Fiber Fanatiscism

Barbara has spent most of her life interested in sheep, wool and fiber. Having lamb projects in FFA for high school started things, and as she matured, raising a family of her own recognized the value of natural fibers and handmade items. She cross bred Corriedale x Lincoln x Romney wool sheep for many years, and started a wool processing business to extend her skills in processing to others. Like most fiber enthusiasts she has spent more time creating scarves, hats, socks, gloves, sweaters, vests and other usable items for family and friends, and less time cleaning house and doing the laundry. She has experience weaving, felting, knitting, crocheting and other fiber related activities.
