About

The Joy of Painting

Silk painting is an adventure for me. When creating silk art I cannot feel the time passing. I love the floating of the dyes on the silk, love the color game, their melting and forming new colors. I am inspired by the world around me. I live in Estonia and our nature is my biggest source of inspiration. Many times one painting will be the inspiration for the next one.
By using various traditional techniques of silk painting I have created unique scarves, shawls and neckties in modern style. I love wearable art and a scarf is a great way to turn a dull outfit in to a gorgeous fashion statement.
Joining Etsy gave me a wonderful opportunity to present my creation and have personal contact with my customers and other Etsy sellers.

Hi everyone!
Welcome to my shop SilkLetters. Thanks for taking time to read the shop policies!

All my scarves are unique items of wearable art designed and painted by me with love in my smoke-free and pet free homestudio. I use different silk materials like chiffon, flat Crepe de Chine and silk pongee and various techniques to create my art. I really enjoy the process of painting on silk and I hope that you will find a one-of-a-kind silk scarf or necktie here that you will love!
Happy shopping!
