This is Billie and me working on Silly Dog Magnets in 2010. Billie was just a puppy but she knew how to help!
Lets get to work.
This morning I woke up to a very silly Dachshund slapping my face repeatedly with her noodley little tongue. I tried to pretend to not like it... because if I laugh she'll get crazy and pounce!
That's Billie. She's my business partner and my alarm clock. She gives me a hundred reasons to laugh a day. I can't help but notice the grin she wears and want to grin right back.
I love drawing dogs. I notice a lot of them have the most hilarious expressions naturally! I started drawing dogs when I was young- real young. I'm talking crayons-on-the-wall young.
But I didn't make a business out of it until I was in my early 20s. I opened my ETSY shop in 2007 making a random assortment of crafts and jewelry- a lot of which was doggie related. But when I got my button maker I went wild! I started drawing my parents dogs and my dog... and before I knew it I had a niche!
Now I have been a full time silly dog magnateer for over a year now. Billie is a great help but I have to give a shout out to my Boyfriend, Candy. Who helps pack and ship orders every day. He also took most of the goofy photos of Billie and I "working hard!"
