All of my designs are inspired by real life and my style is definitely just a reflection of me. I always seem to be a work in progress and striving to be a better version of myself. Sometimes it's deep and meaningful and other times it's silly and snarky!

Years ago, someone gave me the advice that you also have to make things that you don't necessarily like to reach all people because not everyone likes the same things you do. So I tried that. I tried all kinds of products that I didn't really care about and I found that not only was it not my kind of 'stuff', no one else seemed to like it either.

I realized that it's the love I put into my products that make it worth something and that I am my brand. The things I experience in my life are what inspire my ideas and why I'm able to continue to create and evolve. If it's something I wouldn't wear, I'm not going to make it. If it's a candle scent I wouldn't burn in my own home, I'm not going to make it.

When I started Silver Bird, I was making birdhouses. And while I'm so very proud of every house I made, and at the time it was what I loved making most, I moved on to other things. That little bird logo that I put on just about everything is a small reminder of where it all started.

So, I make what I like and hope you will like it too. Of course, not everyone will, but that's ok! I still want to talk and relate with those people. Our styles don't have to be the same but sometimes just the message and energy behind it is what connects us. So however you got here, I'm so glad you're along for the ride!
