Welcome and thank you for visiting Silver Magpie Designs. My first and foremost goal is to have a satisfied and, hopefully, repeat customer. I very strongly believe in and adhere to Etsy’s Handmade policy. However, through necessity, either due to the fact that I cannot manufacture certain components or that it’s simply not economical to do so, I will use commercially manufactured elements. These will be always clearly identified in my listing descriptions.

If at any time you have any questions or concerns, please convo me. I love to hear from you and will try to answer your questions and resolve any potential problems.

That's easy - preferred payment is paypal. You do not need to have a paypal account to use paypal - you can make payment VIA Paypal using a debit or credit card. If you are unsure of how to do this, please convo me and I will be happy to assist you.

I will also accept personal cheques but will have to allow up to 6 weeks for international cheques to clear before I send out your item.
The default shipping method is through Canada Post, ground, without insurance or delivery confirmation, unless otherwise specified in the listing or requested by you. The shipping charges have been going up steadily and this is my way of trying to keep the costs down for you. I do, however, stand behind my product and should it get lost in the mail, I will either replace it with another, comparable item or refund your money in full.

Most items will be sent out within a day or two unless it is a custom order, in which case I will give you an estimated time when the item will be shipped when accepting the order.

Please allow for extra delivery time (up to 2 to 8 weeks) for international orders. If you would like to ship the item express, please convo me so I can get a quote on shipping charges and modify the listing for you.

International Buyers: you are responsible for any duty fees and taxes your country charges. The customs shipping forms will be filled out with an accurate, itemized description and value of the goods shipped.
Refunds and Exchanges
If you are in any way not happy with your purchase, send it back within first three weeks of your purchase and I will refund your purchase price (minus the shipping costs). Better yet, convo me and tell me why you are not happy and maybe we can work something out to make you happy. I want you to be happy with your purchase, so let's work together.

If an insured item was lost or damaged in transit, I will refund your total purchase price (shipping included). In case of a damaged item, I will require a photo. You will have an option of returning the item or having it fixed if possible - see additional info.
Additional policies and FAQs
All my products come with a lifetime guarantee. If an item should break or become damaged, I will be more than happy to fix it for you at no charge (minus the shipping costs) so you can enjoy it for years to come. Just wrap it up and ship it to me and I'll make it as new again!
A small exception: If an item is a broken stone in a piece of jewelry you may have to pay for the replacement stone but the work will be free.

I also offer FREE "fix it" service on any piece of jewelry. It does not have to come from my shop. If I can fix it, I will do it for free, you only have to pay for shipping to and from my studio. Please convo me if you have something you'd like fixed so we can make sure it is within my skills.

OH, and I LOVE CUSTOM ORDERS! So convo me if you'd like something made or designed.
