I’ve been involved in antique and vintage silver for over 25 years. If you ever receive a piece of silver that does not meet your expectations, I guarantee a full refund. My business thrives based on my reputation for excellence. All enquiries are dealt with personally, and I am always available to assist you with any questions you might have. Simply contact me.
Whether you are an established collector or a novice, a new couple or experienced entertainers, looking for a thoughtful gift or simply in the mood for a little treat, Silver Magpies has the piece for you. My inventory represents an amazing array of styles, patterns, sizes and price points.
My photos are taken with natural light and are not photoshopped. Digital alterations are a slippery slope in my opinion.
Silver Magpies accepts PayPal and credit cards.
If you live in Virginia I do collect the 5% sales tax.
Any shipping overages in excess of $1.00 will be refunded. Estimated shipping costs include insurance coverage which can vary widely depending on the value of the item purchased.
By default all items ship to the address listed by PayPal.
However, I am happy to ship items directly to another address as a gift. Please let me know the alternative address.
I use the United States Postal Service.
*As these items are unique and expensive I insure, track and get delivery confirmation on all packages. Purchasing insurance is the most costly part of shipping fees.*
**Due to trouble with lost packages, customs fees, and other assorted issues that are beyond my control, I will no longer ship outside the US.**
Refunds and Exchanges
1. Can I return it?
- YES! Sometimes you get something home and it just doesn’t quite fit in how you imagined it. It happens and it’s not a big deal. Not many places selling antique and vintage silver over the internet take returns. I do, because it is natural to want to touch and feel. If you don’t like it – return it.
2. What do I need to do?
- Please contact me within 3 days of receiving the item (the delivery date is listed on the delivery confirmation) that you want to return it. That way I’m expecting it.
- Domestic customers, I do require that it be returned to Silver Magpies via the USPS using the Priority Mail service with insurance and delivery confirmation.
- International Customers please send it back insured with delivery confirmation.
Once I get the package and make sure the item is in the same condition as when I sent it to you, I’ll let you know it has arrived safely and issue a refund for 100% of the purchase price (minus shipping charges) to your PayPal account within 3 days.
3. For items damaged in transit:
If an item has been damaged in transit, please email me immediately, so we can begin an insurance claim. I'll need photographs from you - to provide to the insurer -to prove that the box had been squashed, ripped open, or otherwise maltreated, so please keep the packaging!!!

CONDITION OF ITEMS:
Please understand these items are vintage and antique - that means they show signs of age and wear. They will not look out-of-the-box, brand new, or in mint condition. Thanks for understanding! I provide accurate descriptions and good quality photography.
SALES ARE FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE:
All items are sold on a first come, first serve basis. If you are really serious about something, but need a bit of time to deliberate, please feel free to ask me to RESERVE it for you. I'm happy to reserve items for up to 24 hours. Simply convo'ing me with questions does not let me know the extent of your interest. Frequently multiple people are simultaneously asking about the same piece.
If you are interested in a piece, but it is out of reach, convo me.
I understand sometimes finding the perfect piece does not coincide with perfect cash-flow. :)
