L'amore per il teatro, il costume, i cappelli e le mode vintage mi ha portato alla modisteria - e tutto è appena scattato.
Con un background come truccatore e graphic designer, porto nel mio lavoro l'amore per il colore, la conoscenza della teoria del colore e i principi di forma e proporzione. Aggiungi la passione per le mode storiche (in particolare i cappelli) e l'amore per il ricamo, le perline e altri lavori fatti a mano. Il risultato: Silverhill Creative Millinery.
Ora che un cappello non è un capo di abbigliamento richiesto, la grande gioia dei cappelli alla moda è che non hanno motivo di esistere se non quello di essere belli e aggiungere un pizzico di divertimento alla vita di tutti i giorni o essere la ciliegina perfetta sulla torta per un evento speciale. La maggior parte dei miei cappelli può essere facilmente indossata con jeans e una t-shirt o un maglione, quindi non preoccuparti di "non avere da nessuna parte" per indossare un cappello. Indossa un cappello per un drink o anche al negozio di alimentari. Lo voglio!
Sono molto orgoglioso di fare ogni cappello nel mio negozio a mano. Uso tecniche di modisteria tradizionali e couture per creare ogni cappello. Feltri e cannucce di altissima qualità sono modellati a mano su blocchi di cappello di legno. Perline e ricami sono tutti cuciti a mano. Le finiture sono cucite a mano. Nessuna colla viene mai utilizzata.

With a background as a makeup artist and graphic designer, I bring a love of color, knowledge of color theory and principles of shape and proportion to my work. Now that a hat is not a required piece of clothing, the great joy of fashion hats is that they have no reason for existing other than to be beautiful and add a dash of fun to everyday life or be the perfect icing on the cake for a special event. Enjoy your hat!
The majority of my hats can easily be worn with jeans and a t-shirt or sweater, so don't fret that you "don't have anywhere" to wear a hat. Wear a hat out for drinks or even to the grocery store. I do!
I take great pride in making every hat in my shop by hand. I use traditional, couture millinery techniques to create each hat. Highest quality felts and straws are shaped by hand over wooden hat blocks. Beading and embroidery are all hand-stiched. Trims are sewn on by hand. No glue is ever used.
