My passion for art goes back to when I was a kid. I used to sit for hours every day, drawing Disney and Looney Tunes characters. At that time I always dreamt of being an animator for Disney. As a teenager, my interests changed, and my sights turned to the album cover artwork of bands like Iron Maiden, Nazareth, and Molly Hatchet. One of my favorite album covers was Ozzy Osbourne's, The Ultimate Sin, illustrated by the all-time great, Boris Vallejo. And so, like many teenage artists at that time, I would spend my days listening to music and copying album artwork. I can't tell you how many times I've drawn Iron Maiden's Eddie. Derek Riggs is one of my favorite artists.

I first started my career paying my dues as an underpaid, overworked designer, doing actual paste-up work on boards. I learned a lot about layout and typography doing that kind of work, but I was hungry for actual design work. So I headed into New York and landed some great gigs in Manhattan. After a few years of working in New York, I headed back to Jersey, where I worked as a designer during the day and a freelance illustrator at night.

I’ve since moved to Georgia and today I have a studio about an hour and a half outside of Atlanta. Hyped-up and supercharged on coffee and pure insanity, I’m usually at my desk making the kind of art that priests and nuns look at, shake their heads, and make the sign of the cross. And I make that art for skateboards, stickers, posters - all the cool stuff I drooled over as a kid.

My Etsy shop is where I sell my stickers. All of my stickers are designed and illustrated by me. They are professionally printed on premium vinyl and feature a special laminate that protects them from exposure to wind, rain, and sunlight. You can even slap them on a mug or tumbler and throw them in the dishwasher.

When I’m not making art I still like to make things with my hands. In the past couple of years, I’ve built a small wood shop for myself. If I’m not in my studio, you can find me in my shop, turning bowls, making spoons, building planter boxes, and anything else that comes to mind. There’s no better feeling than stepping back and just appreciating something you built with your own hands.
