Announcement   So, it seems that we at S&R have a bit of a hoarding problem when it comes to stones. This summer, we decided to do a destash of our stone collection & we've brought them to our Etsy shop!

Our jewelry has moved to: www.simonandruby.com

**Our love letter to the last 8 years:

We've learned who we are, what we stand for, and what we refuse to compromise. We harbor an intense desire to travel the world & translate our experience into a piece of wearable art. We demand quality & creativity from ourselves. We love seeing the excitement that comes from finding that new piece of jewelry that you end up styling your wardrobe around (that's how it should always be!!) We long to make a difference through our work. We've laughed, cried, screamed, and done more happy dances than we can count.

Having said all of that, we want to say thank you to Etsy, for creating a community & safe place for us to discover those things. And thank you to all of our lifelong friends that have found us through Etsy. We found that along with all these feelings, we also have an intense need to simplify our lives. We've made the full time move to our own website (simonandruby.com) rather than splitting our time between it & Etsy. We hope that you'll follow the adventure there.

xoxo,
the Simon & Ruby team**

Amazing colors in these stones. When you hold them up to the light it looks like veins going through. Really cool pieces. Nicely packaged and fast shipment as well! Thank you!

About

Jewelry with a Past, a Present, and a Future.

I am a woman born of my experiences. My love of travel, and desire to live each moment as fully and freely as possible, fuels my passion for design. As a child, I found myself surrounded with the buttons and beads in my seamstress' grandmother's sewing room. Naturally finding beauty in each odd and end, the art of jewelry making quickly blossomed as I combined the colors and textures together.

In 2008, Simon & Ruby was born. I realized that with the years of creative endeavors, my experience in photography, painting, and other media could combine to create something even more "me." I bring my journey to life through my jewelry. My goal is to make wearable art that inspires you and tells you the story of my travels. Each season, I transport you to a place or time that has truly inspired me. We've taken you on an expedition through Italy, Guatemala, Ireland, California, and the Deep South, among other destinations.

I scavenge the ends of the earth looking for the most beautiful gemstones, vintage pieces, and glass beads. I love the thrill of the chase. I lovingly create each and every piece of jewelry for you to enjoy. I believe that a piece of jewelry that you really love probably has a great history, some wonderful anecdote about how you found it, the trip you were on where you stumbled upon this quaint little shop, or your eccentric great aunt that passed it on to you. I want each of my pieces to have that story, to evoke a visual image, a feeling.

I am inspired by both the world around me as well as my past. My free-spirited lifestyle informs my art and original mixed media jewelry. My pieces are available online as well as in boutiques across the country.

**5% of each sale is donated to World Vision. World Vision is a Christian humanitarian organization dedicated to working with children, families and their communities worldwide to reach their full potential by tackling the causes of poverty and injustice. This donation helps to sponsor a young boy in Haiti named Davidson. He loves art and soccer and helps to provide for his family. Please let me know if you have questions about this organization or would like to give.**
