Online shopping and ecommerce have always been a passion of mine.
We relocated to Belgium in 2006 where is started selling Pandora-compatible bracelets and charms on eBay. Within 6 months I had achieved silver Power-seller status. Unfortunately, due to my husband's job we relocated back to Cape Town, South Africa in 2010 and the business had to close as eBay did not exist here.
Being passionate about all crafts, I started mosaic classes and eventually opened an online mosaic supplies store which is still running to this day. I sold this business after two years to focus on baking and cake decorating and, in the process, had two books published - "Cupcakes with a Kick" (which is still available in hard cover on Amazon) and "Sweet Memories" - a recipe book of old-fashioned sweets and candy recipes.
As a craft-o-holic, I enjoy everything from crochet & knitting to mosaics, oil painting, embroidery, and cross-stitch.
For a number of years, I have also been designing websites for clients and this attention to detail requirement is a huge bonus in pattern creation. Publishing patterns not only ticks the box of delving into my creative side but also allows for my OCD to be satisfied.
