Frequently asked questions

Can I request a custom size?

Yes! Every purchase comes with one free resizing of your choice. It can be a custom printable size, or a digital size not included in your download package. For example, if you want an image that's 4 ft x 5 ft or a wallpaper image for an Apple Watch, one free resizing is included.

What type of paper or material should I use for my prints?

Technically, you can use whatever medium you want! Our images will print on canvas, heavy cardstock, matte paper -- anything that will hold an image. For a special look, we recommend archival fine art paper (especially with a linen texture).

Take a moment to visit some of the websites we recommend and see what they have to offer. Any textile or surface they use, our images won't suffer appreciable fidelity loss.

Do you have any recommendations for printing services?

Absolutely. Depending on your area of the globe, there are a number of websites that can accommodate your printing needs. As we are a small business ourselves, we recommend you shop local, but these sites will definitely take care of you!

U.S. printing services: finerworks.com / mpix.com / posterjack.com

Canada printing services: posterjack.ca / pictorem.com / henrysphotocentre.com

U.K. printing service: theprintspace.co.uk

European printing service: beyondprint.eu

Where can I find high quality picture frames?

We recommend you check with your local printing services first -- not only is it usually faster, but there's also no shipping costs. Also, there's something to be said in the pride local businesses take in their work.

However, if you want to outsource the job, the following sites will ensure your specifications are met and/or exceeded!

United States:

frameiteasy.com
finerworks.com
framebridge.com

Canada:

artalo.ca
framehaus.ca

Can I use your artwork for my brand or other commercial purposes?

No. Simplesmith Studio artwork is for PERSONAL USE ONLY. Please refer to the PDF included in your download for the full legal jargon of it all, but to whit: nah. Our artwork, even though aided by A.I., is very much made by humans. It falls squarely under the purview of all current federal and international I.P. laws. As such, it is copyrighted.

However, should you REALLY want to use our art for your business or brand, feel free to contact the shop owner directly. There are bespoke services available.

HELP! I can't find my download! Or Etsy receipt!

Not to worry. First things first: check your spam or junk folder. Sometimes, the gremlins of Gmail will send Etsy emails to the Social and Promotions folders, so check there, too.

If you still have no joy, add transaction@etsy.com to your address list. That should do the trick.

Do I need a Dropbox account to download my images?

No! All you have to do is click the link in your purchase email and you should have access to all the files.

IMPORTANT: don't right-click the image in Dropbox and save it. Be sure to select the file you want and select "Download" to get the proper file.

I don't have an Etsy profile. Can I still purchase your work?

Of course! You don't need an Etsy profile to purchase anything on the site. You are more than welcome to shop as a guest. Please note, however, that you'll need to take steps to ensure that you get your link email. Add transaction@etsy.com to your address book before purchasing and you should be good to go.

Can I access my artwork from my Etsy profile?

You sure can. Simply login to Etsy, and check the top right of the screen where it says "Your account." It's a little round icon.

Click that and select "Purchases."

It should be right there, waiting for you!
