DaizyFrogz
Hi my name is Tish & this is MY shop story: When I was 14 years old, I discovered that I wanted to make my own clothes. My mom signed me up to learn at a local sew shop & from there I decided to pursue this passion. This passion to sew really set sail in high school when I chose to take a year course in Commercial Sewing, where i learned everything I needed to become a professional Seamstress. After high school, I followed The Grateful Dead for a while and there I found my favorite materials to work with; corduroy, batik & canvas. I'd refashion dresses, pants & skirts with patchwork corduroy, tie dye, canvas & batik. I continued to refashion clothes after settling down at The Farm (a hippie community founded by Stephen Gaskin) in Summertown, TN. I missed my family in Mobile, AL, so I moved back home & started building an inventory of messenger book bags, purses, girls dresses, clothes & aprons. Recently I started collecting vintage patterns & make the occasional vintage dress or apron as gifts for my friends & family. I am a perfectionist when it comes to sewing, so expect nothing but the best from me.
