Announcement   New for 2016 - Lower production time!!

Production time is now just 2 weeks! Please note this does not include shipping time. If you are ordering matching shorts, pants, skirt or other items that require me to order more fabric, the order may take up to 3 weeks as I have one fabric supplier that does take longer to ship to me. I will let you know if this will be the case on your order so you have the option to make changes if needed.

Each listing includes options for rush services if needed. I have rush options that allow an order to ship in 1 week and another that allows an order to ship in 1-2 days.

All listings include size charts in the photos and full instructions on how to place your order. Shipping times are also noted in each item description so you can choose the option best suited for your needs. Please be sure to consult a calendar when placing your order so you can see when to expect your order.

Convos (messages) are answered at least once daily during my normal business hours. Current business hours are 8am to 6pm Monday through Friday. For you locals, I can be found on Saturday mornings at the Vilonia Handmade and Homegrown Market from 7am to 12pm starting June 18th (I may be there a few Thursday mornings as well as my schedule permits).

I am in no way limited to what you see here in my Etsy shop. If you have something in mind, feel free to contact me and we can create your custom creation together!

Want to see even more items by Simplie Girlie? You can find me on Facebook, Pintrest, Instagram and Twitter.

Thank you for visiting my store and I hope to see you again soon. May you have a wonderful and blessed day!

About

Just a bit about me.

I live in a rural area around Conway, Arkansas. In the middle of December 2010, my husband, who was raised on a farm, and I found a balanced bliss in our current location. We have 15 acres with horses, chickens, cows and dogs. My husband loves the ability to do the work he did as a kid raising the animals and working the land and my youngest daughter and son have quickly learned to love country living and working with the animals as well (my oldest likes the rural area, but is not so crazy about the work involved, lol). I have the convenience of living about 10 miles from everything I need and a town that is quickly becoming one of THE places to live in our beautiful state. Yet because of how our house is situated on our property, I can look out the windows of my home and view land, trees, a pond and our animals instead of another home just a short distance away. We are blessed that our kids go to one of the best schools in the area and have made great new friends. It is the perfect marriage of personal space, quality of living and convenience and I absolutely love it.

I have always been a creative person. At the age of 6, I did my very first sewing project, a log cabin quilt block pot holder for my mother. Over the years, I made several items for myself and my family and played around doing various crafty things. When my first daughter was born, I bought my very first brand new sewing machine and started making dresses for both she and myself. I have loved making pretty frilly things for my girls to wear for Easter, Christmas and even a handful of pageants and making gifts for family. In the early 2000's, I discovered a love for making jewelry and pursued that venue for a few years, even starting a shop here on Etsy when it first opened as an online venue. I did a few shows and things, had quite a bit of fun and enjoyed it very much, but I found I didn't have the same passion for it as I did for my sewing.

In 2007, a close friend asked me to make a few dresses to put in her embroidery shop for sale, so I did. Soon I was doing pillowcase dresses, aprons, towel wraps, hooded towels, burp cloths, blankets, etc. I shut down my jewelry shop and Simplie Girlie Designs began.

Since then, the business has grown to include items for boys, a ton of more things for babies. In 2010 when we moved and I would not be competing with my friend (who had the embroidery shop) for business, I added an embroidery machine and quickly became hooked on doing cute appliqued shirts for kids. I love each and every aspect of what I do. You can create so many things by manipulating the fabric and trims in different ways and I always get excited just thinking of all the possibilities. My brain is constantly overflowing with things I want to do and my sewing room is littered with started projects that I want to get done to offer to the public but haven't had time to finish.

I find that my business is constantly evolving to include new and fun things. I do party hats, banners, etc. to coordinate with the birthday shirts in my shop. I also now have added a vinyl cutter and heat press to my army of machines (4 sewing machines, 2 embroidery machines and a serger, lol). Now, I can personalize practically anything and it is so much fun!

Thankfully, our home has a living room and a family room, so I currently work out of the family room. It's a good size work area, but with its large open doorways, pass-throughs, windows and fireplace, finding storage space has been somewhat of a challenge - good thing I like to organize and use every available inch! LOL Hopefully one day, I will be designing the layout of my own shop we would like to connect to the house.

I love this work. Being able to provide quality work for people everywhere while still being able to be there for my kids has been a Godsend. I'm able to attend games, run kids to practice, etc. and still help my husband provide for our family. I may have days where my brain is fuzzy from lack of sleep (staying up until 1 am completing orders because your daughter had a ball game 2.5 hours away and you need to be up at 5:30 to get the kids up for school will do that to you, lol), but I would not trade it and go back to a "day job" for anything.

All USPS shipping methods are available both domestic and international. You will choose your method in the cart. Please consult your calendar prior to purchasing and see what date 2 weeks from your order date (today if you are purchasing now) is. That is the date your package will SHIP (not arrive).

US FIRST CLASS is generally 2-5 days but can take longer. Does NOT include insurance or a delivery date guarantee. Insurance may be purchased at your expense - please contact me to add this.

US PRIORITY is generally 2-3 days (I like to allow 5 to be safe). Priority comes with up to $100 in insurance. Additional insurance is available on request. Delivery date is not guaranteed. Additional insurance may be added if needed - please contact me to add this.

US PRIORITY EXPRESS is 1-2 days, includes insurance and comes with a USPS money back guarantee on the delivery date.

FIRST CLASS INTERNATIONAL: Varies by country.

PRIORITY INTERNATIONAL: 6-10 days

PRIORITY EXPRESS INTERNATIONAL: 3-5 days

International customers - Your package will state the contents and value on the shipping label. Any taxes, tariffs, customs fees, etc. are your responsibility. I would allow longer than the time frames above (these are from USPS and sometimes packages can take longer due to customs). All packages will be marked as merchandise and will be marked with the exact cost of the product. No exceptions will be made to this unless you are having me ship it to the recipient of the gift. I am not responsible for any packages held up in customs.

MAKE SURE YOUR ADDRESS IS CORRECT BEFORE FINALIZING YOUR ORDER. You are able to edit the address during the checkout process. If your purchase is a gift, I am happy to ship straight to the recipient - simply edit the address during checkout so that I can ship it correctly.

NOTE - I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR PACKAGES THAT ARE SHIPPED BY THE SCHEDULED DATE NOTED ON YOUR INVOICE BUT NOT DELIVERED IN A TIMELY MANNER BY THE USPS. The scheduled ship by date can be found on your invoice and will be replaced by the shipped date once your package ships. Your tracking number will also be found here. It is your responsibility to check the tracking of your package and to contact your local post office if your shipment appears to be held up somewhere between my local post office and your delivery address.

I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR DAMAGE THAT OCCURS DURING SHIPPING. If you receive an item that has been damaged during shipment, you will need to take the packaging and the item to the USPS so that an insurance claim can be filed (this does not apply for first class shipments without additional insurance). If you would like a replacement item, please place another order for the same item. I cannot replace items free of charge for damage I did not personally cause.
Refunds and Exchanges
Personalized items are able to be returned or exchanged ONLY if I have made a mistake on the order. I MUST be contacted within 3 days of your receiving the item in order for you to receive a refund or exchange.

I do all I can to give a complete and accurate description of each item. It is up to you to read all information given in the listing. If you find something wrong with an item you have purchased or believe the listing was inaccurate, please contact me to discuss the ways the problem can be resolved. Shipping charges are nonrefundable.

Orders may be cancelled up to 5 business days after the transaction for regular orders and 2 days on rush 1 orders (that ship in 1 week). Any order placed with rush service 2 (ships 1-2 days), cannot be cancelled.
Additional policies and FAQs
PLEASE READ THE ITEM DESCRIPTION THOROUGHLY BEFORE PLACING YOUR ORDER. Most questions can be answered by reading the item description carefully.

----CONTACTING ME ABOUT YOUR ORDER----
To contact me about an order you already placed, please use the blue "contact" button on your receipt. This should automatically link me back to your invoice so I know exactly what order you have a question about. Any communication regarding an Etsy order needs to take place using the Etsy messaging system (conversations). This is for your protection as well as mine should any situation arise regarding your order and Etsy is asked to step in. This also ensures that I know where your order came from (I do get orders from facebook, text, calls, emails, etc. as well - so knowing where I received the order is extremely important!)

SOME COMMONLY ASKED QUESTIONS AND THEIR ANSWERS:

1) Can you use a different fabric? YES! Please be more thorough and include other information such as what color fabric(s) you are looking for. I have hundreds of fabrics on hand and there are millions of fabrics I can easily get if needed. I'm happy to do a different fabric on any of my items, but I do need to know what you are looking for. :)

2) Can you change the shirt color? YES! Every listing includes a photo(s) that show shirt sizes, measurements and available colors. Please consult this photo to see available colors - you can zoom in to view them better.

3) When can I expect my item to arrive/ship? If I order today, when will it ship? Every listing in my shop has the turn around time and shipping times clearly stated. Computers, smart phones and other devices all have calendars on them. Please kindly check a calendar and see when that date would be. If your order has already been placed, your invoice will show the ship by date in most cases. Every now and then, this information will not be there. If it does not show up on your invoice, it doesn't show up on my end either. You can figure your ship date by looking at your order date and adding 2 weeks. Shipping time varies by the method you choose during checkout.

4) Can you make a shirt with ________? In most cases, YES! I can do far more that what you see here in my Etsy store. If you see something you like in a photo somewhere, chances are that I have the design, can find the design or can put together designs I already have to make the design you are looking for.

Frequently asked questions

Custom and personalized orders

Nearly every item in my shop is a custom and/or personalized item. I can change shirt color, fabric colors, thread colors or vinyl colors on any item. Each listing description contains instructions on what information to leave me during checkout so that your order is completed to your exact specifications. Please see each item description for more details. When contacting me about a specific color scheme, please let me know the color scheme you are using so I can answer appropriately. ;)

Sizing details

Each listing contains photos of the shirts I use with measurements for each size. Check these photos to ensure you order the correct size! Refunds will not be given if you fail to check this and the shirt you ordered is too small or large. Measurements given are garment measurements - lay a shirt flat and measure from beside the collar to the bottom for length and from side to side just under the armpit for width (for girls measure across the narrowest point on fitted shirts). Unless otherwise noted in the listing, ALL shirts and bodysuits will be short sleeved.

Care instructions

I include a care sheet with each order. For the best care of any handmade garment, wash in cold water using mild detergent and hand or lay flat to dry. If your item contains the color red, use a color catcher sheet. For embellished garments (embroidered or vinyl), use a pressing cloth (pillowcase or thin kitchen towel) over the embellishment and iron on the polyester setting.

Gift wrapping and packaging

If you would like your order gift wrapped, please contact me regarding your purchase. In some cases, there may be an additional charge due to having to change the shipping method to accommodate specific packaging needs (if you want a shirt in a gift box, for example, it will no longer be able to ship in a flat rate envelope).

For any order being sent as a gift, please indicate this in the note to seller during checkout so that I do not include the receipt!

I am happy to include a note from you with the order.

Discounts

Given the handmade nature of each item, I only provide discounts on large orders where I am doing the exact same design with no changes on each item.
