Welcome to Simply Handspun Yarn ~ Where Art Meets Fiber
I love fiber and I love experimenting with different color combinations to create beautiful yarns, rovings and batts. All of the rovings and yarns are handpainted in our shop. I spin all of the yarns myself. I do carry the full line of Ashford of New Zealand products.

5 out of 5 starsAfter the loss of our dear Great Pyrenees, Daisy, my husband was devastated. We had kept some of her hair after grooming through the years and knew we wanted to get it spun to make something out of it. Kim did a beautiful job with the hat and her friend crocheted the "daisy" dog. My husband loves them and I am so appreciative that he can have his girl by him again.

5 out of 5 starsI realized and remembered that I had saved the hair of my dearly loved, now passed Australian Shepherds, when I was rummaging through a closet looking for something else and came upon it. It was the last thing I had from them other than their old dog collars, and Kim took great care with it and made a beautiful, beautiful yarn. Kim is quick to respond to questions, patient, accommodating, very funny and just an an all around sweetheart. She has great craft with the yarn that she spins and offers it at a very reasonable price. Thanks Kim!

About 12 years ago, I took my first knitting class, thus began the love affair with yarn! I purchased my first spinning wheel, started dyeing my own yarns in my home. Now, I have a podcast on YouTube - Simply Homespun! What's next??

Ben is my very creative son who loves all things fiber, paper, and wood! He is a very good wood carver and has also had good success with spinning art yarn from art batts he creates. And, there is nothing he cannot make from paper!
