Thank you for a wonderful custom order (placemats & napkins). I couldn't be happier with the finished product, and it was a pleasure to work with you!

This might be my favorite rift on "If you give a mouse a cookie" thus far: If you give your buddy from work a gift card for a cheesesteak, he should also have a framed lino-cut print of “LOVE from Philly” ;)

About

We are sisters. We make crafts.

We sisters of Sistercraft believe people want love and peace handcrafted into their world. We strive to live in the world in a way that values and fights for craft, women, and peace. We believe that using our hands, bodies, hearts and minds to work to craft natural bits and pieces from the earth into a beautiful something for someone else to use in their home is a way of peace and it is worth our time. We specialize in broom making, basketry, crochet, printmaking, quilting, and sewing.
We were not born into this tradition of broom making; instead we have asked it to let us join.

By choosing to continue a folk art that could easily die out in the 21st century, Sistercraft acknowledges the darkness we face. To choose to craft, to seek authenticity, to step into a life that aligns with our values, to reach for a life that bring beauty to others is our way to rebel every day against a culture that treats women as objects, that says workers are valueless, and that taints the good with the stain of exploitation. We sisters are fiercest when standing together and we believe that we as human beings are strongest when standing together.

Welcome to Sistercraft's Etsy Shop! "We are sisters. We make crafts." www.sistercraft.us

Sistercraft's signature craft is broom making. We make colonial Appalachian style brooms. (African American wedding brooms, pot scrubbers, whisks, floor brooms, and hearth brooms.) All of the artisan brooms are handmade from natural broomcorn & 100% solid wood handles. The sisters (Joy & Beth) were raised in the Midwest where they grew up crocheting, quilting, and drawing. Now the sisters live in the MidAtlantic region. Sistercraft's artistic and affordable linoleum-print greeting cards reflect our childhood love of Michigan, the beauty of Philadelphia and Trenton urban landscapes, and the Delaware River region.

Additional policies and FAQs
We're always happy to work with customers on custom Henry Street Baby Blankets. We're also thrilled to make you a wedding broom and custom broom favors. Of course, custom work always takes a bit of time. We usually need at least 2 weeks for custom brooms and blankets, and sometimes more if we're already busy with custom orders.

We have wholesale prices on our cards and are happy to talk about that.
We do not usually wholesale our brooms, but if you have an interesting offer and idea, contact us.
