This is beautiful, however arrived creased due to the packaging. I was able to resolve this by carefully ironing the print.
Wouldn't it be great if I could sell my artwork online...
I was lucky enough to discover my passion for printmaking early. I have dedicated my life to learning the craft and it is a process that fills my life with joy. I work as a professional artist and I am currently working as a printmaking teacher at Western Kentucky University.
I made my first print in high school and I was hooked. The thrill! The suspense! The multiple! I went to the University of Georgia and after a stressful orientation decided that I was going to study art and inevitably, more printmaking. Yes! At the University of Georgia I took every single print class that was offered. I was fortunate enough to have wonderful mentors at that school who still support and encourage my work. (thanks <3)
After my BFA I became involved in the Atlanta Printmakers Studio. A nonprofit community print shop. I was awarded their Emerging Artist Residency and was able to be part of a thriving artist community.
This year I received my MFA in printmaking at the University of Tennessee. Which was an incredible experience at an amazing school. And here we are.
One of the best things about printmaking is that it is accessible to everyone. I love that I can show prints in galleries and also sell prints that anyone could afford. To me printmaking is an endlessly generous medium that makes art available to everyone.
I recently graduated from the University of Tennessee with an MFA in printmaking. I am obsessively in love with relief printmaking. I'll admit, I geek out about it.
