Announcement   Welcome to my shop! I'm glad you've stopped by to browse my one of a kind, all handmade items. Each piece has been adorned with beads, dyes, fibers, found items...anything that I feel helps to tell the individual story of each unique piece of art.
It's important to me that your experience with the wearable art is comfortable and uplifting, so, I have personally tried out each design before making the items that you find in this store.

How the name SkunkFarmStudio came about:

Around 1910 my maternal grandfather, Otto Baruth, built a rock/concrete wall by himself to enclose 5 acres of land in Alexandria, NE. This was the beginning of his fur farm, dependent mostly upon skunks, mink and muskrat. Never de-scented, the skunks were bred strictly for their pelts, often bringing $4 on eastern markets. This was the beginning of my grandfathers dream of living off the land, close to the banks of the Big Sandy river.

With respect to his ingenuity and pioneer spirit, I've borrowed upon his dream and named this etsy shop SkunkFarmStudio.
