About

SkyFeathersTrading is our pathway to honoring Many Feather's Native heritage, and keeping it alive.

As Dowopi Pessi Na'dewee'- or SkyFeathersTrading, we have created Native American Design jewelry and ceremonial art in traditional tribal colors and patterns, and traded at Powwows and Mountain Men Rendezvous all over Utah, since our marriage in 2006. Everything is handmade and unique, no two pieces are exactly the same. Each has its own little flaws, just like we do, because according to ancient Native belief, only the Great Spirit can be perfect. We use only natural and authentic materials, such as bone, horn, wood, leather, shell, antler, glass, brass, fur, feathers, quills, hair, and sinew. Many of our designs are based on patterns found in old pictures of Many Feather's grandmother’s blankets and pottery, taken at the reservation in Fort Hall, Idaho. Combining original tribal colors with the patterns discovered in the black and white photographs, we endeavor to bring these ancient designs back to life in a respectful and beautiful manner.

Many Feathers is a magician at making gorgeous chokers, necklaces and earrings. Heart Keeper mostly pours her soul into painting her beautiful Spirit/Blessing/Healing feathers. The larger projects, such as authentic breastplates, are usually a joint venture, and when our individual talents combine, the outcome is amazing.

We can design and create just about anything for you as a custom order, for a loved one, a friend, or for yourself. Contact us, and find out how we can make your order unique and special.

I was born and raised in the Netherlands, but have traveled and lived in many countries around the world. Fascinated by ancient Native cultures since childhood, I have embraced my husband’s beautiful cultural heritage and spiritual beliefs.
