Blessing Beyond the Pages
Tras dedicar nuestras vidas a Jesucristo a finales de 2023, mi esposa y yo notamos que necesitábamos grandes cambios en las paredes de nuestra casa en Missouri. Al desechar los remanentes decorativos modernos de nuestras vidas anteriores, nos quedamos con mucho espacio en las paredes, corazones abiertos y una turbulenta batalla espiritual.
La solución era clara: necesitábamos rodearnos de las palabras amorosas y sabias del Señor. Usando madera de palets recuperada de la fábrica de metal de la calle y cantos redondos naturales cortados de árboles caídos en los bosques cercanos, puse a trabajar nuestra máquina de grabado láser, grabando mis versículos favoritos y colgándolos en las paredes de toda la casa. Esta decisión nos protegió y nos bendijo, y crecimos en nuestro caminar con el Señor.
A principios de 2025, me despidieron de mi trabajo de escritura a tiempo completo desde casa en una empresa de tecnología del entretenimiento. En lugar de buscar un nuevo empleo en esa industria, ahora estoy dando un salto de fe con Slice of Scripture, esforzándome por lanzar un negocio desde casa que comparta la importancia de mostrar la palabra de Dios en el hogar.
Siempre me ha gustado la creatividad y las manualidades, y no podía dejar pasar esta oportunidad de hacer la obra de Dios, dando nueva vida a la madera desechada mientras creo piezas atemporales de arte de las Escrituras.
El Señor te bendiga y te guarde; el Señor haga resplandecer su rostro sobre ti, y tenga de ti misericordia. El Señor alce sobre ti su rostro, y ponga en ti paz.

After dedicating our lives to Jesus Christ in late 2023, my wife and I noticed that big changes were needed on the walls of our Missouri home. Discarding the new age decorative remnants of our previous lives, we were left with a lot of wall space, open hearts and a turbulent spiritual battle.
The solution was clear: We needed to surround ourselves with the loving and wise words of the Lord. Using reclaimed pallet wood from the metal factory down the street and natural edge rounds cut from down trees in the nearby forests, I put our laser engraving machine to work, cranking out my favorite verses and hanging them on the walls throughout our home. We were protected and blessed by this decision, growing in our walk with the Lord.
Kicking off 2025 I was laid off from my full-time from-home writing job for an entertainment tech company. Rather than seeking a new job in that industry, I am now taking a leap of faith with Slice of Scripture, striving to launch a home-based business that will share the importance of displaying God's word in the home.
I have always loved creativity and crafting, and I could not pass up this opportunity to do God's work, giving discarded wood new life while creating timeless pieces of scripture art.
