5 out of 5 starsMy family has several of Jill's masks now. We love the comfortable design - because they tie, they don't rub on the ears. We also love the range of prints, from wacky, fun and colorful to more subtle and "office appropriate." Also, for those with short beards, these have ample coverage. I've bought two batches so far and would definitely buy again!

I often create my own patterns and this is a favorite called "community". I am working on publishing my patterns soon.

Sometimes I quilt in a series and my prism series contains color ways in green (shown), red, pastel, blue and earth.

I also make other items such as table runners, hot pads, stuffed animals and even skirts!

Most of my sewing is done by machine, but I do enjoy creating some particular blocks by hand.

Not your grandmother's quilts
I have been sewing since I was 4 and quilting for the last 23 years. When I tell people I am a quilter, the response is often "What?" I realize that my quilts are not traditional. I am inspired by bright colors and modern designs. I like to take the traditional or simple and modify it in a way that grabs your attention. A design can be inspired by anything; nature, a feeling, an event or even a chemical diagram. My quilts are fabric art, but they are meant to be used. Any of my work can include a handing sleeve for wall display (just ask!).
While I have sewn professionally for 7 years, my Etsy shop is fairly new. My favorite projects are custom quilts. I have made wedding or special event quilts with wedding vows or Bible verses quilted into the design. I have made memory quilts (and other items) with clothes from a loved one who has passed. And I have made custom HS or college graduation quilts with personalization.
Now when people ask what I do, I answer that I am a "fabric artist". I am happy to collaborate with you if you have an idea for a special quilt. I typically require 12 weeks to create a custom quilt project. Feel free to contact me!
