Have you ever thought that furniture is by far the most important items of the environment we live in? It is meant to improve our living, decorate our surroundings and express our individual taste.
Everyday life is my source of inspiration and I make furniture for people like you and me, who demand quality, functionality and love simple elegance. This is what got me started and all about this brand name stands for.
Smart is about elegance, aesthetics and functionality, Space for our surroundings and, Furniture encompasses all those objects we gather around us and reflect the way we want to live our life.

I have studied Architecture and Interior Design and learned everything I know about wood and woodworking from my father and grandfather. From my early years I used to hang around our family factory, watching and learning, while my father was working next to my grandfather.
Two generations of accumulated knowledge is perhaps the most valuable asset my family has inherited to me and what defined me as a professional. During the course of my architectural career, I had the chance to deal with different sorts of projects and experiment with various materials and still, whenever I’m in the process of shaping a new idea, I always think wood first.

Always carrying a sketch book with me, I put down ideas whenever something intrigues my imagination, catches my eye or just randomly comes to my mind and try to interpret it in a new object that would fulfill a need, unfold a wish or just satisfy the eye.
Each piece is a unique, original creation that begins with the conception of an idea and requires a great amount of thought to the design, function and choice of materials until it comes to life.
Modern and traditional woodworking techniques are combined and every item is handled with extra care until the desired outcome is reached. A “smart” piece of furniture that will fit nicely into your home and blend naturally with your other furniture.

Care instructions

◼︎ Wood is a natural material and reacts to heat, humidity and sunlight. Especially solid wood can warp, split or discolor over time. To protect your furniture avoid excessive exposure to any of these factors to limit their impact.
◼︎ All items can be cleaned using a damp cloth and tepid water. Avoid strong cleaners as they may damage the finish. Polish with a dry microfiber towel. For rejuvenation, once a year, you can use a natural bees wax paste available at any hardware shop, and follow the instructions for use.
◼︎ Especially for items polished with natural bees wax paste, use a similar material whenever you want to refresh the shine.

Estimated Shipping Times.

◼︎ Please note that estimated shipping times are given by the carrier company and refer to the standard time required until the item arrives to its destination.
◼︎ Estimated shipping times, usually differ around holidays or major sales events.
◼︎ If you need something on a specific date, please contact me before placing the order to make sure I can deliver within the desired time frame.

Custom & Personalized Orders

◼︎ Dimensions can be modified to best fit your needs.
◼︎ We try to provide various combinations of materials and colors to all our designs. If, however you have a special request, send us a convo and we’ll get back to you asap.
◼︎ Want something from scratch? Let us know of your special wish and we’ll work it out together, so you can make it true. We believe we can built …almost everything.
◼︎ There is no extra fee for custom orders. Any alterations to the original price or shipping cost (either up or down) will depend on the dimensions and material used and will be communicated in advance.
◼︎ Custom orders, i.e. change in sizes, color or deviations from our standard collection cannot be returned or exchanged.

Shipping

◼︎ We ship with DHL.
◼︎ All items are insured.
◼︎ All our furniture is meticulously checked before shipping and packed with extreme care to ensure they reach their destination safely.
◼︎ Each item is wrapped with protective film to prevent scratches and moisture influx. A custom corrugated carton box lined with polystyrene sheet is made for each piece to ensure shock absorbing protection.
◼︎ If an order consists of more than one item, it is possible they are sent in different packages. This is subject to size and weight limitations by the postal service. In this case, you will be informed accordingly and get a separate tracking number for each item. Please bear in mind that packages may arrive on different dates.

Returns & Exchanges

◼︎ Returns, refunds or exchanges will be accepted prior to contact with Smart Space Furniture. We will be happy to facilitate you if you’re unhappy with your purchase.
◼︎ Small deficiencies can sometimes happen in the process of a handmade production. Contact us within 24 hours of receipt if you notice any errors in the construction, paint or finishing and please be prepared to include photos. If your claim is justified, from a technical point of view, we will be happy to repair or replace your item. Relevant costs will be borne by us.
◼︎ Returns or exchanges cannot be accepted for natural variations of wood. Differences in grain, texture and hue, knots or markings, are considered natural properties of wood and are part of its charm.

Damaged Items

Please follow the steps below to help us replace your item without any additional costs for you.
◼︎ Upon receipt of your order, please open the package, in the presence of the courier, to check whether it has been damaged in transit and only then sign the POD (proof of delivery). If otherwise, note down on the POD that the content of the package was not checked.
◼︎ If any damage is found, a damage report should be filled in. This report is the evidence for making a damage claim to the shipping carrier.
◼︎ Please let us know of any damage within 24 hours. Do not dispose the box and be prepared to send us photos (including photos of the box and the damage report). Once we have the information we need, we will be able to initiate a claim.

Undelivered / Unclaimed Package

◼︎ If a package is marked as delivered by the carrier (DHL), this will be taken as a proof of delivery, and refunds will not be available unless a police report for stolen mail is filed.
◼︎ If your package is returned as unclaimed, we will be happy to resend it, further to your request. Buyers are responsible for resend shipping costs or any other fees that may occur due to undelivered mail. Please check our return policy, in case you want to ask for a refund.

Returns & Refunds Policy

◼︎ Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs. For items with labeled free shipping or under the $35 and over guarantee, the actual cost of shipping won’t be returned. Please contact us before returning an item.
◼︎ Returns and/or refunds won't be accepted for items damaged after unboxing (See also Damaged Items section).
